...nice percs...but theres some disturbing noise in the background...sounds like a vinyl...
...bass sounds cool...gives a really deep feeling to the track...
...some more elements like whoshes and so on would be nice in the buildup...
...wow, nice pad, i like the melody...reminds me of something...
...sound quality is quite good...but why have you cutoff everything above 16khz?

very nice track, dude!

The percussion is great as allways. The fx are really nice too. I like the clap/snare. The song is a bit too repetive imo. The track is very well produced.

thx for the comment m8, the disturbing noise is an additional bass.. (or more like the first intended bass) it kinda lacks a lot of whoosh and whiish.. I adjusted the cuttoff of the lead, guess it didnt help much..

hi there!

nice tune!... as posted before, audio quality needs attention. I like the structure of the track, and the style, but maybe you can try to mute the percs in some parts to keep up the "fresh" of the track.

saludos!

after the drop when the beat comes in, it sort of just comes in suddenly. MAybe you could add like a snare roll or something to add some tension or something.

Posted by The Drow on Dec-20-2004 20:08:

Nice pads.
I didn't like the snare.
Actually really good pads.
Send me a remix pack.
Repeatitve but it's prog so it's good.
4/5

I love the percs in this, very tribal.

The FX are nice and scary. Bass end is aggressive.

Synth sounds are solid. And I love those pads.

Nice work, not much I can fault that hasn't already been said.

Posted by Subtle on Dec-21-2004 01:34:

anth_on_e: thx.. I should definitely get some tension there.. its coming way too sudden..

doreemix: thx for that tip.. its pretty straight on those percussions

State Of matter: thanks.. glad u like it..

very cool sounds and effects you've got there

the mix seems to be a bit too bright, though. the track needs more low end

and as mentioned before, some whooshes would be nice to lead us into and out of the breakdown.

Posted by Jay M on Dec-21-2004 14:45:

There are a lot of pads in here. In the first few minutes it doesn't seem to fit together all too well.
The fx don't seem to be under control, and they are a bit simple. But it seems you made them yourself and thats a good thing.
Now the break is there a bit too sudden.
The lead synth coming here is ok, and so is the melody.
Overall the percs are pretty good.

Overall not bad, I began to like the track after the break. Keep up!

Hey Suble.

Bass & drums are sweet.

the distorted gurgle sound throughout this song is hypnotising!

3:50 this emotional melody that come in is a refreshing change.

5:15 the drums catch me by surprise. I think you need to build up to the percussion with a drum roll or a beat that fades in. Background drums may also add to emotion & build it up more before the bass drum kicks in.

the track finishes very nicely.

Great work on this track suble. Very trancy. Im impressed by you drum layers.

Great beats man! loved the bass in here.
Wasnt keen on the synth (main lead pad) at the begining, but it sounds cool after a few listens.
Other than that cool FX, dark stuff
Keep it up,

Antonio,

Xenocreator_PG_: glad u liked my drum layers.. (I was working for hours just to make them fit the markers right) and about the end of the break.. YES! there should be something there to predict the drums coming in, I hadd that in the first version, no idea why i removed it.. thx for the comment

EternalMusic: thx.. cool u like it.. i love dark stuff

Posted by The Drow on Dec-24-2004 04:09:

anyone wanna collab and make an ambient remix for this?

Posted by Mane on Dec-24-2004 23:13:

kick should bemore stronger, nice bassline, and bongos stuff hmm its takes very long when track develope make more changes before breaks, after 2:48 its really good overall really interesting track, i like it

Posted by djjeesh on Dec-25-2004 07:19:

nice.. breakdown kinda reminds of tastexperience (oldschool) nice.

Posted by DickieThijssen on Dec-26-2004 20:43:

the beat/bassline/percs altogether ---> really original

First 3:45 minutes is very nice; I really like the hypnotic progression. The melody during the break at 3:50 sounds a little out of place, but isn't bad. My biggest suggestion would be cutting down on the length of the track. Seems to be about a minute and half too long. Otherwise a very nice toon.

By the way, have you heard Jerry Bonham's song "Seventh Seal"? This song kinda reminds me of that (at least the first 3:45 does).

thanks for the feedback everybody

havent heard that song u mentioned no, and i agree it should definitely be shorter, or more things should happen in it.. im gonna look for that song and see if i can hear a resemblence.. thx alot

The sound is clipping right from the start. But the percs is bercool! Nice snare to replace an usual clap. Wow, those bass-sounds are funky fresh You're starting to build an armosphere after 2.00 and that's good. The DJ is now finished to beatmatch the song, so the structure is good. The bass is very powerful, though the kick should be more powerful as well. Hmm... At 03.45 something is happening. Nice strings. Over one minute with JUST strings now, that's boring. and you're bringing the percs back again without any mainmeody yet, imo. Kinda boring And btw - Armas made a tune called "Narajana" for some time ago. Marajana is pretty close But what does it mean? Solid production! St p din viking!

Posted by Subtle on Dec-27-2004 22:50:

thanks for a thorough review.. very glad u like it.. about the strings.. yeh they are unexcpected, and if they fit is really hard to say.. some say, some dont.. and tbh im not really sure myself

Maranjana is a name.. doesnt mean anything as far as i know..

Posted by Subtle on Jan-10-2005 21:51:

i like this one since i heared it the very first time. Now it's part of my dj case and collection.

i'll be waiting for your next track.

Posted by azndragon0613 on Jan-11-2005 05:05:

sounds kind of dry to me...maybe thicker percussion? or effects

transitions are way abrupt...try snare roll...kick roll(is there such a thing?) or some whoosh things

i'm not a fan of the melody but that's just opinion...

you've got a good atmosphere going here
