Cosmic String/But For A Day debate.
Can anybody confirm which is which of these 2 tunes. When I first got the originals on 1 record that told me which was which tune but now its come out on Vandit with Marc Van Linden mixes the tunes are the other way round.
At GC Ice Rink PVD played Cosmic String 1st and But For A Day last I think. This is what the original release said the tunes are and what has been right on all tracklistings up until recently. But Vandit says the opposite.
Anybody??
from what i've heard, the vinyl is labeled wrong.

Is it 'but for a day' or 'just for a day'. I remember seeing a rls with 'but'
if someone can email mark and find out what's what we can get this resolved
well im going off the Vandit releases for now. There website details agree with their vinyl, which by the way, also says JUST FOR A DAY
emailed Mark just then so lets see what he says
from Mark himself:
Hi,
I will try and help you out but its been switched around by various labels
(incorrectly) several times now that i dont know which track is which myself
anymore! Ok, although i dont yet have a copy of the vandit release, as long
as they haven't changed it from the details i gave them, they are the
correct way round. Cosmicstring is the one with the big trancey pad
breakdown that repeats in the second half of the track. Just for a day
(which incidentally some people call But For a Day!) is the more unusually
constructed track with the arpeggio leads and strings.
Hope this sorts it out for you!
regards,
Mark (Marcos)

looks like vandit got 'em right
What the hell?!
On Blank & Jones The Mix Vol. 3 CD, I heard the tracks "Marcos - Cosmic String" and When I got the "Cosmic String/Just for A Day" Vinyl and played it, IT WASN'T THE SAME TRACK! But when I played "Marcos - Just for a Day", THAT WAS IT!
So who made the mistake? Vandit?
BTW, that track is awesome I love it!
But this thing confuses me because it seems that I listened to a track for a few months with the wrong name!!! (unless Vandit is the one who made the mistake)

Well mety333, it seems Vandit was right here.
I've also been listening to Just For A Day for months, thinking it was Cosmic String
Sorry, I'm still confused. Am I wrong in saying that listening to PVD's sets that the tracks were always ID wrong and causing us to think the vinyl is incorrect?
according to Mark, Vandit have the right release, go check out www.vandit.de for samples so you can see which is which
i love that vinyl regardless of the messup!! really nice tunes!!
