Cell phones, dangerous or not?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4113989.stm
as a scandinavian im clearly addicted to my cell phone, and i really hope that there is nothing dangerous with it and i have seen much proof of it that its not, but many things indicate the opposite too.
If it was dangerous we would have a huge potential future health risk. Not only because of cell phones, but because of all the things in todays society that emit electric radiation.
the spark caused by dropping you cellphonecan iginte the vapors in and around a petrol station therefore blowing it up
Figure this out:
You have a radio transmitter operating in the microwave range next to your cranial cavity that houses your brain, what would you think is happening?

Whatever about the possible future health implications of mobile phones..the jury is still out..but one hazard i do encounter everyday are people driving and using mobile phones this practise was banned in ireland a year ago..but people persist..anyway just a personal gripe..but imo they are dangerous particularily if you live near a mast that transmits the signals no matter what the phone companys tell you or the experts..good topic
Bumpersticker:
You're driving a car, not a phone booth.

Ye your driving a car not a fucking office
The real health risks are car accidents caused by people driving, talking on the phone and eating at the same time. These types of dumbasses have nearly killed me over a dozen times.
I also hate those dumbass kids at the high school. I think there should be an IQ test to have a licence or raise the age or something. At 16, you can operate a car but not have a beer. That is nuts!
everytime i use my phone, i hear that same noise that u hear coming out of a tv, when the volume is turned all the way down.
I don't think we have begun to see the effects yet from cell phones. They weren't widely used till almost the mid 90s (late 80s at the VERY earliest) so signifigant time hasn't passed yet. It is one of those things that when the first of the cell phone generation start retiring that we may start to see what affects they really pose.

Yeah especially since our generation will probably be the ones to see the first effects of it, as will have used cell phones for 40+ years before we die. I feel like a lab rat.
Perhaps someone could simulate 30+ years of cell phone use on an animal by turning on a signal and strapping it to the animals head for a few months nonstop. I'm curious myself what would be the result.
I get a headache when I talk on the mobile for a long time.
btw, is it said to be dangerous only when you talk or at all times?
supposedly, and studies" have shown that prolonged exposure to cell phones, gives you a higher risk of cancer. Like 40 percent higher. I do get headaches too, so it could possibly be true. God forbid though.
Can operating a microwave give you cancer?

hell - i have even heard: "eating food prepared in aluminum" cookware.: http://www.snopes.com/movies/actors/valentin.htm
Who really knows - jury is always out on most of these things....lets face it - will we really know for sure???

anything is dangerous these days, what happened to just doing things and not caring
A really dangerous situation is when you have a 16yr old girl behind the wheel and talking on the phone. Bitches have hit my car twice now.
I've been in an accident where a 30ish year old woman slammed behind me at a stop sign, because she was on her phone, and "didnt even see us."
