i had a very 'interesting' night yesterday - WARNING: Long Read

night as in the time i was about to fall asleep. Alright, here goes.

So, it's last night and I didn't do anything the whole day except go to my brother in law's house with a few friends to go mess around on the dj equipment, and just to play some good ol' x-box; eat some pizza and just have a good time. I know what happened didn't have anything to do with what i did during the day, because i had no beer or anything.. so that is off my list of explanations.

Ok, so I get back home, everyone is asleep except my dad. I go back to my room post a little on TA. My dad goes to sleep, and i decide to hit the hay already. I turn off everything except maybe my dj equipment, keyboard, and fan. Everything else is off (radio, tv, computer, etc.) I'm tired as hell. I turn off the light and head for the bed.

Alright, So I'm in bed eyes closed, nothing on my mind, when all of a sudden i get a feeling like if something is wrong. You know, when you just start sweating n' shit like that. Then i hear something/somebody/whatever playing my keyboard... but it's very faint so I cant really tell cause my fan is on. I cant tell whats being played cause the notes are hit a few seconds one after the other. but then it get's even louder and sounds like a little melody is being played over n over.

So, at this point I'm freaked out. I try not to move cause whatever it is, I don't want it to know I'm awake, and open my eyes. There is a poster right infront of me and some of the light reflects on the poster, so you could basically see if anything is in the room moving. At this point I don't know why it doesn't stop, I'm pretty sure whatever it was, if it didn't want to be seen, would have just gone if I had opened my eyes. Oh, and I'm facing the opposite side of where all the noise is coming from.

So I just get up really quick and turn. But i noticed like a few seconds (3 - 5) before i got up it stopped. Ok I'm still skeptical cause my fan was on and it makes alot of noise, so I'm thinking well, I'm just hearing things or my mind is playing tricks with me, right? I get up, turn on the light, and obviously nothing was there. So I'm just here, just really doubtful of what I heard. I then just turn on the T.v. for awhile and watch whatever is on, just to calm my nerves.

Everything seems fine, I'm happy, nothing is wrong, everything is just normal, k?, cool, I just TURN OFF EVERYTHING, cause fuck i don't want to hear anything anymore and just I just want to fucken go to sleep. I make sure everything off, just incase it was one of my things making a noise for some reason. OK, i'm back on bed, nothing out of the ordinary, and I just about to fall asleep, you know, when you can what's hear going on in whatever room you are and your eyes are closed and your just about to knock out. WELL, right then and there, I started to hear something again. Now, I tried not to pay any attention to it, because I'm dying to just fall asleep, but the more I want to go to sleep and the more and more that sound I'm hearing keeps on going off and on, I can't fall asleep.

Like I said whatever i was hearing, was on and off like 2 minutes between every pause. The sound keeps on getting clearer an clearer until I can clearly make out what it is. I dunno about you, but this really freaked me out; it sounded like a choir out of the "Omen" movie. You know?, that creepy ass church choir style kind of music, but more like in a chanting kind of way. But there was no music, just chanting in some latin/greek language... ok wtf? Where the hell is coming from right? I can't really make out where it's coming from because it's just there, and coming in really no direction. It keeps on getting louder n' clearer, but not SUPER loud, like as loud as if someone with headphones on with the music VERY loud, but not just with the sound of the treble.

K, so NOW I'M REALLY FREAKED OUT.... and man, I just get up and it stops, but this time it stopped right when i got up, and started to fade away into the dark... and it's really freaky at this point because It's just pitch black and I don't know if something is watching me from my closet door, or if something is just gonna turn on byitself, or if anything is just about to appear and make me shit myself. So I just thought "man fuck this, I'm getting the fuck out of here". I got up with the last of what was left of my courage and I just grabbed a blanket and pillow headed for the living room and I just turn on the T.V. to whatever was on, and fell asleep around 6 a.m.

.....

I hope none of this happens tonight, becuase I ALWAYS have a rational explanation for everything that creeps me out, and I just eventually forget about it and everything fine and dandy, but last night I have no idea what the hell was going on, or if some sick fuck was playing with my head with witchcraft or whatever the fuck. All i know I just want to fall asleep like a normal person tonight, and if not, I'm going to just I dunno not fall asleep till mornign or whatever. And NO i did not make all this up, or exagurate (sp?) on any of the details.

bye

lol i have had similar experiences one night i was layin in my bed about to fall asleep and i usually see headlights go over my wall and onto my cieling bc i live on a busy corner where theres a traffic light, and one nigth i saw this light go over my cieling then start spinning really fast and it was fuckin bright as hell, i screamed and ran out of the room like a lil girl.

anyway, maybe it was something outside you said the sound was faint? if youre scared tonight pound some nyquil and fall asleep with your headphones on, thats what i would do.

I had something similar happen to me when I was younger.. I think I was 8 or 9, but I was seriously freaked out... I still get that feeling like someone is standing over you when you're sleeping or when you walk up the stairs and you feel like someone passes you... OR this is the worst when you swear someone calls you, but nobody's home...

FREAKY

it was faint, but too clear for it to be outside. and i think i just might do that.

If I make it to the bathroom when I'm tanked instead of pissing in a boot in a closet, I done good! As for things bumping around inside or outside the house, I'll grab my .357 to investigate and watch out when I'm drunk...

Lol!!!

Heh, that was a pretty good story.

Anyway, the first time you were probably just hearing some noise being made by something you left on, and it obviously freaked you out enough where you were going to be hypersensitive to any noise you could hear afterwards and you were probably just hearing something outside or some appliance elsewhere in the house like the refrigerator which is always on. Since you were very tired and feeling a bit paranoid it's not too big a stretch to say that your mind played a few tricks on you regarding the details of what you were hearing.

i agree with your first theroy, and yeah it was to the point where I thought everything that i heard (like the small tree right outside hitting my window softly, but i've gotten use to that and I think nothing of it) would give me the creeps, but the second noise i heard, it was just too impossible for it to be a fridge (it's fairly new and makes no noise whatsoever), or any other appliance such as the air condition unit, because it's located on the other side of the house.

I also have alot of doubt that there is something in my house (ie. ghost, demon, etc.) because it was just built one year ago when we had moved from the south side. Infact, we moved in here when it was new. Unless my house, was 'accidently' built on a indian burial ground... hah what are the chances of that?

It'll all go away

Very creepy. Im in a 150 year old house, and some people in this building swear on their lives they saw spirits wandering around in their aparments... I cant wait to get out of here, I am freaked out.

Sound a bit like sleep paralysis R.J. I used to get this but thankfully it has stopped. It usually happens when you are particularly tired and just about to drift off to sleep. You are actually half-dreaming but you don't know it and you can hear and see all manner of shit. Don't worry man there isn't a ghost in your house or anything like that, it's just your brain playing tricks on you. It probably won't happen again and even if it does don't let it freak you out - it's a relatively common thing.

man i got that fucken feeling again :| and dats not cool cause everything on like it would be on the day, only thing no1 is awake. man i think i'm starting to hear shit again. man i'm sweating like a pig, shit i hope i aint crazy i'm seeing shit from the cornc=er of my eyes.... like lil faces =\ ok i'm offically freaked out

Edit: i feel better already

Edit: hah wtf, i hear two people having a conversation and i seeing two lil black dots from the corner of my eye.

ok someone send me to the nut house

Is that what that is, that's some fucked up shit man, i get that every so often and it freaks the shit outta me and you can't do jack about it but try and wke yourself up.

I was sleeping in the lounge once and i had this 'dream', i was lying exactly where i was, everything seemed sooooo real and in it's usual place. We had these two masks on the wall and they were in the proper place aswell, but when i looked at them, one of them gave me an evil snare, it was fucking freaky. Then all of a sudden, it felt like i was being pulled at the feet real hard. Coz my lil bro and mum were in the lounge i started screaming so they could hear me, but absolutely nothing came out, i could feel the pressure of my vocal chords but no sound. Then i forced myself to wake up by counting to 3. Then i woke up. I was shit scared man, and i couldn't stop staring at those masks ever since.
I shit you not!!

Oh and R.J, calm down you'll be sweet as. Just put your headfones on and listen to some music. If it is a ghost, fuck it, they can't do shit to ya anyway. If it's a black shadow you know it's a ghost!

fuck man i put my music on very loud but im have that 'feeling'. and everytime i calm down i hear two people talking. not just like two people like talking its clear, but muffled, and it goes from very faint to clear in a very short period of time. and everytime i just think oh well its just my friggn head that creepy feeling get's even worse. i wish i was baptized haha

Posted by Sunsnail on Dec-23-2004 10:52:

You are crazy. It's a learning experience though. Listen to what the people in your head are saying, and learn from it.

Posted by RandomGirl on Dec-23-2004 10:53:

I heave heard of computers or certain appliances picking up radio waves... perhaps this is it.

Does this just happen when you are alone? Has it been happening a lot. Does it happen when you aren't in this particular room?

If this occurs everywhere you go, at all times of the day or night, you may have a mental illness, and should see a doctor in regards to it. If this is something that occurs right before you sleep, it is most likely your brain fucking with you. If this occurs when everyone is sleeping, and you're all alone, it may be paranoia.

If all of those things are ruled out, you have ghosts man... get the fuck out!

LOLz
Does your Dad sleep with your mum, maybe they are talking to each other.
And maybe they were singing like high-ball kids last night as well, like Ned Flanders on The Simpsons
