Hi Guys !

Been a few months since i posted something " Full " in here. Well now is the time . I've finished two tracks latley, and after sending the stuff to some labels i was finaly hoping for some signing action . Nothing went as i wanted though. Most of the labels today want tracks in the Armin style etc, if you got a different style or " old sound " kind of tracks it will be very hard if not impossible to sign your material. Not like i care too much, i like to write music. Most of you people, know i like to use strange sounds (bee sounds!), like in summer call, the story teller etc. Anyway, this time i tried to make something different, maybe abit ASOT style (not intentionaly though), or maybe more deep trance kind of?

I hope you'll like them both. Comments of anykind - good or bad, are welcomed as always .

Listening to Illusion as I post.

I'm not a technical poster, so I just will tell you what I like.

Definately what I like most are the percussions, geez I wish I could create percs like that. Nice stuff.

melody fading in by the minute 3:49, really nice, so I liked the kind of ethereal solo string before it as well.

The guitar-like sound sound fading at the minute 4:25 is a bit too loud for my taste.

Nice pads.

Overall Illusion is a good listen! Congratulations.

Hi mate!
Great to see you can find the time to produce quality music in spite of the work and army. Already told you want my thoughts are about this two great tracks so ill just say that you should never quit, keep on making music for yourself and for everyone else who is willing to listen of course.

Very good production, the only thing is that bee sound in Illusion as someone else already mension.

Also very nice melody at 4.00 in Stargate.

As I listen to Illusion (btw, all based on my opinion):

--bee sound is god awful. Sorry but I just cant bare fx like that. It's to raw and it's used to frequently for my liking.
--Strings are whispy and very atmospheric which is good.
--The distorted synth that abruptly starts during the beginning dosen't really suit the style and progression of the tune. I would bring in some dark strings or percussion instead.
--Melody synth is professional.
--Vocal fx is a nice touch, I like it.
--Percussion is really nicely done. Love it.
--Mastering and eq are perfect.

Quality tune.

i like the bee sound also...i dont find it annoying....BEEcause it sounds good...

the conga is cute
rhythm is ok
cool effects
good pads
enjoy the vocals
cool melody in the break

loses alot of punch after the breakdown..


conclusion
tight production, those vocals are really cool.. i like the melody in the break.. and the additional one coming later on.. very good production, sound kinda cheesy in some ways.. but not as much as it is a bad thing.. those creepy vocals were some of the things i liked the most..

not very fond of the synth in the beginning

conclusionfirst thing that strikes me is that this track has a lower volume than the previous one, percs are pretty standard, but they work.. i dont like the synths too much.. sounds a little too weak to me.. bass is ok, melody is pretty nice.. but I am not a fond of the choice of instrument.. melody gets much better in the break at 4:00..
I think this differs alot to much of the material around here.. melodies are pretty original actually.. and the fact that u wrote these tracks urself.. and they include some wicked effects as well.. just keep making, and u will get very good.. i think u need to work on the actual quality of the sound, as would be in my point of view ur weakest point.. hope this helps

Gezzz that bass drum is a thumpen!

1:00 pad layers OK
1:30 rythme comes in.
2:00 Ok it's taking shape now. rather nice.

2:50 fades out. nice spacy pads

4:10 wow. yerrr I can see myself dancing to that. It comes together well.

the bass is great. the hihats are great. The sounds you use are a little generic, but effective. Nice track. Thanks for sharing.


........Illusion:

First impression: energized uplifting track.

1:15 love the pads

1:40 the rythme that comes in is peicing - nice though. Oh mate; I love the hihats ticken around- they are sweet.

4:00 the track is fully energized. It is seriously cranken. Great work Antonio. This would be an awesome clubben tune.

I have no critisism to add unfortunately.

Hey Antonio, long time no talk: Kinda in a rush here so make this quick: I really like both tunes as they have a nice driving feel with sweet sounds. The only main thing I can comment about here, is the way you structure the start for the dj friendliness. I will catch you on msn to get in more details about that. I am surely going to play these tunes on my show.

Star Gaze is my favourite but those tiny pads on the background were pissing me off :> i think u made them too thin , great bassline :P keep up the good work and yeah i dont like this belly synth on start

Hey, don't know why I never got around to reviewing these.

They are both really great, you've improved a lot since the first couple of tracks i heard from you on these boards.

My only beef with these songs is that they sound filterry. Its as if the bass is being cut, and the midrange and treble is being boosted, so the songs sound hollow. I'd make the bass more prominent and get a more full sound going. Also there's a slight overuse of reverb.

Melodically and structurally they are amazing. Good work again.

star gate:
nice beginning, i like fx in bacground but to be honest dont like this hmm synth sound its a bit too loud and discint :P, great bassline, percusion is great too, wow i love melodies comes later in track, but this first synth doesnt fit for me (delete it if you can :P) except that its really great !!

Illusion:
great bassline for me its better from star gate, really like melodies in this one

overall both tracks are very good, keep them coming

SOM: I donnt know how to improve the sound hehe. I extract it in low volume in FL and then run it in Soundforge and Tracks. What do u think?

Illusion is really great, bass is so mint. Just dislike the hihat a bit that is panned.

Some nice choirs/pads are floating around.

1.27 that voice needs to be more subtle.

1.38 ah now the intro starts building, nice melody.

break:
Such a nice sequence here.

Oke climax, when everything kicks in , the kick seems suddenly lighter, which makes it a weak climax,

Main lead could be a little more agressive.

Further good job here mate

Not really my thing, to many high pitched synths hehe.

Illusion...

Love that bass. Classic. Progresses nicely. Maybe needs bigger percs? Maybe louder? Overall good. That lead synth with the slide effect may need to be put back a bit (maybe adding more reverb?) Just a thought.

Percs are good. Volume up a bit? Nice progression. Maybe look at the synth sounds in the bulidup? Nice fx in the break. Good stuff
