Nu NRG 'Dreamland' (Exceptional Sleeper's 2005 Remix)!

Hi guys! 2005 is very near and with Nu NRG getting released on Monster Tunes early next year I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and give a remix a shot! Its only in the first stages hence the short sample! There are not much effects nor transitions going on but generally the ideas are there! I have kept the original mixes elements (cos there is no other way!) but have beefed it up and I think its pretty driving! Anyway before I progress I thought I'd let you guys have a listen and maybe point me in the right direction!

Thanks in advance - merry xmas!

Download here!

PS. Sorry its via you send it but I have no other means!

ok first of all i think the orginal one is great and shoulnd be touched but ok :P thats only my opinion, hmm you used piano for main melodie right? so i think you should add some eq onit to make it more discint or maybe use some saw sound???, percusion is ok for me, keep on working at it becasue it can be very good

Will take those comments on board thanks! I agree the original will never be beaten - its a pure classic!

Actually I would like to say that the Wirloop Remix beats the original fairly I love it.

Anyway, think I will say my thoughts about it now.

You've made a nice flow troughout the remix so far, wich is very important in a trancer like this. Although, I think the bass is to unclear and to low (volumewise), I can barely hear it actually. Nice piano, I like it I do also like the lead, which's a important element in this track, aswell as the bass. Good work with the beat btw. But one this I think you need to fix is the mixdown (volumes of intruments etc.), to give it the right feeling and pureness.

Overall it's a nice production so far, and I just can't wait to hear the full remix, so for gods sake: get it done!

Regards
Expher (oh, and yeah... have a nice christmas mate)

er... cough bump!

You might already know what I think of it, though I just would like to say it again

I like what you did with the piano, I think it fits well. Main melo is quite nice, though needs to be a little more powerful to get a bit closer to the quality of the original (which will perhaps remain the best ).

See you soon buddy, merry christmas

Cheers,
Wim

PS: I'll be fixing the preview for our collab tune any day now, sorry for the wait.

Hi guys! Well been a busy day! Santa never got me a Virus C or a JP-8080 but hey I got some nice comments at this post instead! Will take on all your comments and yes Wim the original will never be beaten; it is a modern classic! I can only try and interpritate (spelled right ) the original!

Sunquest - your right regards the piano will try and 'beef' it up!

About the preview Wim - guess Alexis is still sitting on it - kinda think its not the labels style! Be nice to get preview up to show the guys what we are made of ! Will talk more via e-mail!

Many thanks again guys, your comments are greatly appreciated!

Happy new year folks!

I like what you've done with the melody, although I can't say I'm crazy about that rolling piano. At the moment there seems to be something drastically wrong with the sound, with a lack of bass being the main issue I think. Fix that for the full version and it'll be significantly more listenable! Take care.
