how does silence 2004 sound like?

is this another remix of that song? if so how is it?

Posted by TempesTrip on Dec-27-2004 06:51:

your probably think of the above and beyond remix that was released not to long ago. Sound excellent imo.

Posted by idoru on Dec-27-2004 06:54:

Horrid. Give me the classic Tisto and Fade remixes any day.

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Dec-27-2004 06:57:

Completely needless.

yes this is ass IMO, but then again that is just my opinion

Posted by wolverine16 on Dec-27-2004 07:06:

Yes,really no need for more remixes of Silence, but the Filterheadz one is not bad. The Above & Beyond remix is really nothing special at all. The Tiesto remix did get released again too though if you're looking to pickit up on vinyl.

Posted by Eis on Dec-27-2004 08:56:

The Filterheadz remix is the only 2004 remix that is decent or more

Filterheadz Remix :

I really like the A&B Remix and it's just something new. Everyone knows the Tiesto mix (it's still great tho), so this is something fresh.

Could live without it as well

the A&B remix is poor IMO, haven't heard the filterheadz remix, but there is about as much need to remix this tune as there is to remix cafe del mar again.

i cant stand the above and beyond remix the vocals dont seem to fit with the track, aint heard the filterheasdz one do cant comment...Tiesto Mix Rules

Agreed!

And this is also the opinion of Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber, the producers of Silence in cojunction with Sarah Mclachlan.
They did not see the need for yet more remixes of thier 1997 track, Silence.

Nettwerk, however are the copyright holders for the track and can comission new remixes/ arrangements of it when they want and Nettwerk believed it would be the perfect track to promote the album recently released - Delerium - The Best Of

Personally i really do not like the Above & Beyond remix of Silence but the Filterheadz remix on the other hand really is quite special and better than some of the original remixes like the Airscape remix.

My personal fave remix of silence is Fade's Original Sanctuary remix but the filterheadz remix comes a close second to that.

Filteheadz remix is okay, but Tisto's remix ownz!

Posted by sleepydragon on Dec-27-2004 16:48:

bag of shit

nothing special imo

wasted time by A&B, they missed a big opportunity here

Posted by fLipp on Dec-27-2004 21:06:

I like both the A&B Remix and FH remix

Don't "drag" on like the tiesto remix

Posted by Reactic on Dec-27-2004 22:51:

At all why remixing old tracks that were already remixed successfully? we have enough new tracks waiting for a remix!

Posted by Absolut_Vodka on Dec-28-2004 02:11:

silence has now become the most whored songs of all time... geez... if the label would only realize they are ruining the song by constantly remixing a classic track. Its already been as good as it could possibly be, so why try to top that when its clear its only going downhill from now.

Posted by djbounce on Dec-28-2004 04:04:

They can release all remixes they want but nothing, i'll repeat: NOTHING will EVER beat Tiesto's ISOS Remix... PERIOD. Twenty years from now it will still raise the hair on the back of my neck just like it does now.

If I ever end up begging for my life, I'd want it to be the last song I hear before my death.

Posted by tc-fan on Dec-28-2004 04:10:

maybe is G&D would of remixed would of been awesome...the style of beautifull things...ohhh yeahhh
