Where to go in houston

does anybody out there know where to go in houston any more. like any place that plays trance almost any style of trance will work now. there used to be the roxy on saturday but that went to shit. and most places now is hip-hop or bad crowds. i dont care if i have to get dressed up or not. so if any body knows and will share with me please do thank you

isnt drink houston doin a dance only night on sundays?

i think theyre calling it the mix or something.

outside of anything Tranceision throws, there's really nothing else. In my honest opinion...Roxy never had and never will have anything I would call "trance" playing in that venue.

well when i used to go back when i was 17/18, which was 3/4 years ago, they did a decent job on saturdays. of course i really didn't know any better back then, but in restrospect they eased some of us in the houston area to EDM.

Well, i dont know how old this thread is but anyway, A really nice place to go is Opus opusclub.com anyway upstairs is hiphop and all that but downstairs in the lounge my friend spins some very nice house, trance, progressive, breaks, etc.. and well since the club is pretty new, not many people know about the underground lounge/dancefloor so its not very packed down there.. BUT its getting there and soon were gonna go live on an internet radio station (i dont know if its ok to say the site on here without it being considered spam, but ill just say Afterhoursdjs) anyway, its 21+ and its a very nice upscale club

Hope some of you go someday, i wanna get that place packed!

I've been meaning to check it out...will do. It's right next to M Bar right?

yah just about!.. its a nice place.. i mean yah the underground isnt much.. its just a place to drink and chill out.. but my friend spins dance music down there but unfortunately hes not buying vinyl until he sees a payraise... so hes using cds but its not horrible..i just think cds are a lot more boring.. ill be spinning down there 10-2am memorial day weekend.. but anyway this weekend and next is mardi gras over there show it should be great! last 2 hours is when stuff really gets goin.. if you email me i can probably get you a guest pass to get in free. im not sure.. but i can try.. Don't worry about the guest pass. I'm use to Houston cover charges. I'll try to make it out this weekend to check it out. Not sure which day.

great! I recommend Saturday nights :-) unless you like dmb and jungle over house and trance and all that stuff....and well the mainfloor is the same on fridays and saturdays.. but the underground where all the dance music is, is kinda dead :-| but for mardi gras it should be good

i used to go there all the time from like may to dec 2003 when the club was open wed thru sun. is it only open on fridays now? by the way, do you know how i can get a copy of the vision one cd? i used to have it but all my cds were stolen and it was my absolute favorite cd ever. i've tried finding it, but lost touch with all the people i used to hang with from there. i'd do ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
