Question headphone problem

i first got my turntables back in april or may or so off ebay, and they came with sony mdr-v150s
they seem nice, get fairly good reviews, and i didn't/don't need anything real high end or anything
there's always been a problem though, and i'm finally sick of it and want to figure out wtf is wrong
i've always done single ear monitoring so it hasn't been a big problem, but i can't actually wear the headphones as headphones
for reference, here's a pic:
notice how the cups can swivel to face outward
pain in the ass
idk if its just the headband part thats too tight or what, but whenever i actually put the damn things on my head, the cups won't actually stay facing my ear
they usually just sit facing downwards
and i'm really getting pissed with it, cause i'd love to use em for stuff besides djing, but i can't
anyone had a similar problem?

your not going to find many people on here who use those headphones.

yeah, i don't blame em
but if i post in the COR where i usually would it'd probably get moved here anyways so i just skipped that
figure someone still might be able to help

on the outer part of the broken headphone, there is like a semi cirle that swivels on the disc that covers the ear, to my understanding it swivels round to much.

id try putting some blu tak on the disc place where the individual ear phone turns so it has enough space to move, but not to spin.

i hope that made sense

I used these headphones when i started to DJ but i hadn't any problems expect a bad sound quality for DJing, also after a few months it cracked...
