The Verve - Bittersweet Symphony (Mackers 5am Sunrise Remix) (full track, 192kbp/s)

Yeah you may not recognise the name, but you ALL know it, i promise!

Just loved the melody so i had to remix it, again, would like some feedback guys!

Also, if there's any producers here that do like my stuff and want me to remix a track of theirs, don't hesitate to ask

Fixed link, thanks to matti.

i'm sorry, the remix didn't cut it for me.

all you did is take the riff and play it over and over again using different instruments.

The pads don't fit the track (wrong key)... actually many things aren't on key.

the sounds are quite good except for that main pad.. it sounds like a very softwary attempt to emulate the supersaw... superwave VST?

Posted by Macker on Dec-30-2004 18:35:

Sorry you don't like it, yeah some of the pads were done on the superwave vsti, unlike some lucky people i don't have a jp80X0.

And everything is in key.

Posted by _Marco_ on Dec-30-2004 20:41:

yea the pad sounds software but overall its great sound quality , i enjoyed the piano very much i think its nicely recreated.

Posted by RickyM on Dec-30-2004 23:53:

Returning The favour -

Nice pads intro - builds up nicely.
Maybe needs a bit of variety - maybe introduce some of your own elements / melodies. Nice piano though some of the lower notes are the wrong ones. Needs some more bass I think.
LIked it though, good remake.

Posted by Digital Aura on Dec-31-2004 17:08:

what a cruel joke!

Dont ask me why I returned to this thread...

BUT THE LINK IS DEAD AGAIN!!!!

Posted by Thunder5 on Dec-31-2004 17:33:

Proper Link

it is not dead...

Posted by EtherealSL on Dec-31-2004 17:43:

chilled.... hi end needs to be cut

bassline could be different, louder breakbeats (i like how its filtered)

lot of potential

Posted by sot on Dec-31-2004 21:49:

coo remix

i love the original so when i saw this i immediately clicked. pretty nice job man, id say make the drums more refined and lose the filter at the last 2 mins or so to give the track a nice release point. the pads do sound a bit softwarey but nothing major. Everything is in key, i dont know what one of oyu was talking about.

Posted by Subey on Jan-03-2005 15:29:

First listen I was dissapointed (I wanted to hear the vocals)

On subsequent listens I really enjoyed it. Just a nice chilled song with enough of a melody to keep my mind engaged. Thanks

Posted by Darkone55 on Jan-08-2005 14:03:

While listening:

Intro is nice.. maybe a bit empty, the pads are not that full, would be very cool if you added some effects or something. 1:30, still intro. Takes a bit long. Ah, a nice slow breakbeat. Sounds ok. 2:30, still sounds a bit empty. Oh, a break. Still the same pads, same melody. Oh, there it is! The lead melody. Hmm, it doesn't sound that special. The piano is cool, but if the rest was good you wouldn't need him. A break again ! Again the same pads. No, sorry, I don't like it. The beat is so.. empty. I miss percussions, changes in the melody of the pads/better work with the bass.
