Downriver - Lost soul (my 1st release)

hi guys, ive been a trance fan for a while now and been making stuff on computer for about a year an a half, however only recently have i had decent software to get the sounds im after.

anyway... its not the best thing ive done but below is a link to the first thing im posting up. its a very mellow track, hope u like it, any feedback is much appreciated.

Sounds pretty good, but you need to 'work' your way to the beats in the beginning and don't throw them in instantly! Perhaps you could start with the clap first, and then add in the groove. Also add in 'fill ins' which connect one group of measures, to another group of measures. (Most of the time, it's a small variation in both drum and synths)

And I keep missing the SFX in many tracks posted here! - Don't be too frugal with those! Perhaps you couldn't make a descent build-up in the drums because you ripped a drumloop somewhere? Don't do that, make your OWN beats! (sorry for being so harsh)

Check on the mastering, because I'm affraid that you didn't took account of the "not-above-the-zero-decibel"-rule. Which causes the track to contain distortion!
Nice on the melodies/sounds, though. You got good feeling for the music!
