Simply can't use ReGet for downloading anymore

Hi.
Recently I found not possible to download sets using the suggested software ReGet. Is that normal as a result to some measures taken by Admin or is that a problem with my computer. I remember clearly that 1 year ago I could download by ReGet, but now no more.
If that is a problem with my computer, can I ask someone a direct link to those 2 last sets, one from Thrillseekers and the other from Orkidea?
Thank a lot.

Have you ever tried Get Right?, It's an exellent program, Better then any of those other download managers in my opinion, You can download it at www.getright.com

what about ReGet? It is suggested on website, it doesn't work? It did before, so why now i can't? Some direct links would be usefull though...

Posted by jon on Dec-30-2004 22:14:

direct links will never be given as servers are always changing and the script will always point you to the server that has the least load at that time, so DONT ask for direct links.

too bad...
u got avesome sets there...
why the hell was i able to download before and now i can't...?

Posted by jon on Jan-03-2005 19:13:

have you tried using getright as suggested, or just downloading the set without any download manager?

Posted by az0000000 on Jan-04-2005 10:17:

Simple downloading works ok, but i want to resume downloads as i am not full time online.
So far i deeply checked almost all famous downloads managers and getright isn't at the top of the list though. Honestly speaking i don't love that program. Imo the best would be ReGet or FlashGet.
Main point here is the fact tha some time before Reget was the only program with which i could download sets from this website, and no other program would work, even Getright.

Posted by jon on Jan-04-2005 19:05:

have you got the latest version of reget, have you made sure that its not trying to open more than one connection?

Ive just downloaded the latest version of reget deluxe and it works fine on my connection, so clearly there is no problem with the server.

Any ideas why is that?

By the time you try to resume your downloads, the server you used previously might be already busy.

Posted by jon on Jan-08-2005 15:20:

you version of reget is setup incorrectly, its attempting to connect to the server twice, look at lines "input 4" and "input 8" the ta servers only allow ONE conection per person.

you need to look at the settings anc change it.

Posted by az0000000 on Jan-10-2005 08:42:

No, it doesn't try to connect twice, that it just a retry as i configured ReGet to retry all the time if it can't connect for any reason. And it is not about busy server on resume, check that it says:"Error 10 16:00:37 1/8/2005 Error #800704D4(The network connection was aborted by the local system.) in Connect"
So what the hell would this error mean? What kind of freaked damn local system???

Posted by killer_jin on Jan-10-2005 11:23:

i got reget deluxe 4.1 build 242 exclusively to download some tracks and live sets from this site and yet im having problems downloading >:/ like

See? Another person has some problems. Seems there is need to help us a bit
But honestly talking i am loosing hope...

Posted by jon on Jan-10-2005 19:04:

the local system is "your system"

And i dont know why you are having problems, Ive just redownloaded reget and reinstalled it, set it up correctly and it works fine for me.

have you tried using another piece of software like getright? (this also works perfectly fine for me)

Posted by killer_jin on Jan-10-2005 20:01:

^i was using dap for downloads but then whenever i tried to download those files it prompted for pass or other prbs like "site refused connection" etc so i switched to reget as the site suggested

[edit]: i was able to download a track(around 10mb) using reget after trying hella lot of times!

Posted by jon on Jan-10-2005 20:05:

dap is banned from the download servers since it uses multiple conections, and if people use download accelators then they just get a pass request.

spoke to the webmaster and he said all servers etc are fine, double check your reget settings.

Posted by killer_jin on Jan-11-2005 07:08:

^wat if i set dap to open one connection instead of mulitple will dap be allowed to be used then!?

btw now with reget i cant download any file.im getting this error
quote:
