How?
DannyO and I are looking at it and it looks like you need FUCKING tiny allen keys.. Anyone ever removed these damn things?
fast replies needed.
to remove the platter, you just need to lift up by the large holes. It's gonna require a little force b/c it's magnets are built in the platter itself.
Oh yeah, i wouldn't screw with the allen screws if i were you.
Taking off the platter doesn't require allen keys. The magnet has it stuck on pretty good so just stick your fingers in the holes and pull.
Blue LED conversion complete (minus the pitch LED as I don't have a solder gun right now).
Took about 2 hours or so.
Defineately gotta be careful and mindful of where things go and what not.
Such a HUGE improvement though.
$32 CDN as well, and it replaced the entire PCB board.
Good job guys. Always great to see someone take the initiative to work on their own techs. They're laid out very well so they're easy to service.`
do you not remember putting them together?
there are no screws holding down the platter (unfortunatly), just give it a careful yoink and it should come off.
You have to remove the plastic part after you take off the platter to get to the boards and replace or adjust/calibrate the decks.

Thanks for the help on getting the platter off. I couldn't get it off, but DannyO had no problems.
However, I was having a problem before opening them where one of my start stop buttons wouldn't stop the table. I turn the table on and it start spinning no matter what. I thought that with replacing the whole PCB board that that would fix the problem. It hasn't. Anyone have any idea's or skematics of the techs. Its not a huge problem just can't cue it up and let the needle sit ready, I just have to put the needle off to the side and let it spin, or turn it off.
The new LEDs look awesome, the 33/45 buttons are EXTREMELY bright which is nice, I will have to crack these open again to replace the pitch slider LED like I posted above, but I might just completely replace it with M3D sliders.
It was quite interesting working on the Decks. Always enjoy doing work like this. First deck took awhile as it was the first time doing this, the second deck was a breeze.
If anyone plans on doing this conversion and has troubles drop me a PM and I will be more than happy to assist you.
New pics will be posted soon in the Bedroom DJ Pics thread. Even though you have prolly all seen them.
