Dual Layer DVD Media

I'm not sure what forum this would go in, so sorry if this is the wrong place.

What I'm looking for:

- cheap dvd media sites
- dvd5 discs (dvd-r please)
- dvd9 discs (dual layer - either - or + will work)
- reliable media (as in HQ, not coasters)
- competitive price

If you know any great blank media sites for dvds, especially dual layer dvds, let me know!

Dual layer dvd's are hella expensive, like 8$ last time I checked. Check amazon.com. Anyway blu ray discs (50 GB) are coming later this year just so you know .

Yeah, but it'll be a long time before that actually becomes the standard. The cheapest I've seen is $15 for a 3 pack.

dual layer media is just too damn expensive here for my tastes

which is funny because the dual layer burners run for less than 100 bucks in some places

Get a friend who works a duplication center or something. You should be able to get them for about 25-50 cents / disc if you buy in bulk.

I am able to get a 500 pack of dual-layer discs for $125 from someone I know who works at a duplication center.

Now I just need to buy a dual-layer burner, hehe.

Costs in prices are just that price because of how new the media is and only the hardcore folks want it right now. The cost of manufacturing dual-layer media is not much different than the cost of manufacturing single-layer media.

Those are dual layer BluRays that are 50GB. A Regular BD-ROM is 24GB.

has anyone heard about lightscribe? go to www.lightscribe.com the new HP computer are going to start having this, instead of using those matte/gloss stick-on labels for cd's etc this drive has a laser that burns the design onto the non-data side of the disk. cool as hell, takes bootlegging to a whole new level
