Are you working and going to school at the same time?

If so, how do you manage? Do you work and go to school both full time? What about social life and other activities? tell please

Posted by matty on Dec-31-2004 04:57:

i work out and go to school. does that count?

Posted by sensorium on Dec-31-2004 04:59:

It's impossible to go to school and work at the same time unless you work in the school.

Negative. I worked at my families store from 8-4:30 p.m., then went to class from 5-10:30 p.m.

I work full time and take full time classes.

I pull it off by having no social life outside of the internet, which lets me talk to others whilst I do work for one or the other.

It's a sad life, but if I didnt like it, Id change it.

I dabble in web and graphic development while going to school full time. (And living on campus.)

I also build and sell a computer every so often when I don't have any development projects booked up.

I can do both of these things from my dorm room, however, so it doesn't completely count, I guess.

Wrong. You first went to work and then went to school. It wasn't all at the same time. In the same day, yes, but not at the same time.

i would like to keep my job while i go to school in january..but i doubt it...i'll be poor, and potless, well no, because i''m sure people in my school will supply me with some goods, and if not, my student loan should help out once in a while....but a job would be nice

i have tuition waver plus 400 dollars cash from the state a semester plus 2100 bucks worth of scholarhips.. i get an 800 dollar refund to my bank account every semester. no i don't work during school, but i do in the summer.

Posted by kefkanium on Dec-31-2004 08:56:

I start school on Monday, gonna try to get a small parttime job if possible, but the way my classes are I don't think that's going to happen this quarter (classes spread throughout the day from 8a-5p). Maybe in the spring when I can consolidate my schedule..

Posted by sensorium on Dec-31-2004 09:03:

My schedule for next semester is horrible. I'm still trying to make some adjustments. I think I'm going to have to crash the first week of classes. What's crash anyway?

Posted by Omega_Blue on Dec-31-2004 11:20:

I work full-time and go to school full-time, and let me tell you, it sucks.

Posted by Boomer187 on Dec-31-2004 18:48:

the school pays me to be there. I am suppose to get in at most 20 hours a week, but I put in about 4 a week being a lab instructor. So I kinda work and go to school at the same time.

grad school rules.

learn to get less sleep and chill in the later hours at night, i did it its a bitch at first but u get used to it quick

Posted by Zombie0729 on Dec-31-2004 19:25:

school full time
work full time

DJ & Producer on the weekends

i still have somewhat of a life, i just have to plan out like a week in advance when i can go out. it can be done, but it really effected my studies. Especially when it comes to craming because it's impossible w/ a schedule like that. so if for any reason a test sneaks up on me i'm screwed because i have very limited time to study.

Posted by Miss Bliss on Dec-31-2004 19:51:

I go to college and work about 18 hours a week. I wish they gave me more hours... 30 would be great. Or I wish they paid me more.

Posted by kamil on Jan-01-2005 00:31:

i go to school full time and work part time, osap helps for tuition.

i also live on my own.

i manage, but my social life is very limited. a few hard years will do wonders for the rest of your life tho.
