Blank & Jones - The Blue Sky (2004 Update) was released under GangGo label - http://www.ganggo.de

I found that song in Blank & Jones - The Mix Vol. 3.

hahaha! you call yourself a dj?

Posted by dJohn on Jan-02-2005 03:34:

does it make a difference that he does call himself a DJ? what is so defaming about using a software interface to mix instead of turntables? what an ignorant comment...
Most importantly...why would you care? tracklists seem to be solid, mixing seems to be decent....seems like he knows what he's doing. what's the problem?
BTW, good job on the mixes Pulsar

haha, i am not a n00b, your talking out of your ass.

Im not some dude who cums over all the latest ASOT tunes, i play techno, so stfu

the point about using software is an endless battle, but most djs just press sync in traktor and call that a dj set. no skills neccessary

traktor = instant dj

now... if he uses a second soundcard to cue then thats different, but its highly undoubtful.

most of all what i have against you is the fact that you deride other people, regardless of whether they're "real djs" or not..instead of trying to encourage someone all you seem to do is disparage them..

Posted by DJ_Pulsar on Jan-02-2005 14:34:

I have used one soundcard instead of two, because my soundcard is 6-channel so I can mix using also headphones like proffesionals.

Posted by dJohn on Jan-02-2005 20:13:

You like AvB before he went cheese? So you turn your back on him now cuz it's not "cool" to listen to cheese? That's kinda sad that you aren't assertive enough to still like good DJs. Cheese or not, AvB still puts on a show and should deserve the dignity at least he deserves.
And that soundcard comment...so, IF he has two soundcards to mix as if he is using a real multichannel mixer, it's ok, but if he doesn't it's not? Beatmatching is in fact the most insignificant aspect of good DJing....it's should automatically be assumed that beatmatching is understood by Pulsar, regardless of if he does it clean or not. As a techno DJ, you should know that programming is what makes or breaks you, and with good programming, usually good beatmatching(actual tempo match, phrase line ups etc...)is included.
So quit trying to justify your ignorant comment you made earlier and just fucking enjoy his sets.

Alphastarred was playing around the whole time, so i dont know where you come in.

Armin is still a good dj, but he is nowhere near what he used to be, i listen to djs that i want to regardless of what other people think, especially you.

I shouldnt discourage people like dj_pulsar but mixing on traktor is not a way to earn someones respect much less make you a dj, using a separate cue is good, its close, but buy some real equipment.

I'm gonna buy a real mixer soon, so you will see the difference in my mixes. I've got about 30 vinyls so buying two turntables is also in my plans for future.

out of interest, why are you all so incredibly bitter towards lane?

he/she/it has a very valid point. Traktor can be used in such a way that it isnt mixing nor DJ-ing, esspecially when used on laptops and in clubs, pre planned, pre beatmatched sets, that lets you listen to the mix before hand so you can make adjustments if the timing or sequencing is out - all before the next track has even started playing.

the average person would not make it hard on themselves by choice and actually manual mix in traktor they would simply use the sync button provided. I know I would

as for listening to asot & armin van buuren, lol, what is your point exactly?

please do get over your own opinions, an concider the fact you could be wrong, just once in a while

Posted by dj jasonF on Jan-03-2005 16:54:

the dj is the man who plays the music.

for me it doesnt matter with what he is playing it. if the man can dj on tracktor(in terms of creativity and fx and programing) better than sasha on decks ill still say that hes a better dj than sasha.
thats why i think what dj lane said was (at least) stupid.

"its about whats coming out of the fucking speakers" - sasha

Good Point.. i know im kinda againest computers but its all good as long as u mix as u go not just prerecord a set and play it at a club. It just takes a lot more skill to mix on tables.but like pulsar said he/she is gettin tables and already have vinyl its all good. GOOD JOB DJ PULSAR. Smooth mixing keep it up if u get the hang of it it makes it kinda easier to mix on the tables. Keep up the good work and dont let any of those idots put u down

I really happy that you have enjoyed my dj-set, but please my Internet connection is really slow (256 kbps/64 kbps) and I cannot have my personal FTP always online . Please mirror my set on a faster server !!!

Here is the last post im going to make....

I did, in no way, want to start a war or cause the shit ive caused...

I guess all i can simply say is i'm sorry for posting without thinking..

My honest opinion is that using Traktor is great to learn how to mix, and practice, play around and have fun, but it is not a software that instantly makes you a "DJ"

The program can pretty much mix for you

It is a big slap in the face for DJs that work hard and dont get recognized, when a dj gets some software, and makes cds = Instant DJ

I should have not posted the bitter comment i did, but it just got to me, Traktor is a good software to try, but from past the trial, go out and get some equipment, and mix like the rest of us.

As for sasha, he has been mixing for 10+ years, and he is using software with his mixing, he isnt using Traktor and pressing Sync, hes using ableton which lets you be very innovative and pretty much do live remixes of tunes on the spot.
Sasha has been a respectable icon for very many years, and is only trying to re-invent himself to keep pleasing his audience.

Again, It was never my intention for a war or to hijack the thread, so once again, Im sorry for posting without thinking.

Keep up your drive to be a DJ pulsar, I'll be looking forward to your mixing on Tables

-Lane
