-- Which mixer??
Which mixer??
ok then people, ive got enough money to get a new mixer (about 650) so that means i can get a djm 600, or a denon dnx1500 at the top end. i play hard house and can see myself using the effects a fair bit. i dont play out yet either, so i dont really have much experience on either (well non on the denon tbh)
but which mixer would you recommend and why? even if it is neither of these two.
the djm600 is rather old and outdated. You can get better quality nowadays of you search hard enough. The X1500 is a quality mixer have read and heard good reviews about it. Definately would recommend a Xone 92 but thats very expensive and dont know how cheap you can find it. Out of those mixers the last thing that would stand out in my mind would DEFINATELY be the Ecler Nuo 5, its an amazing mixer with effects and sampler, blows the 600 out of the water. You have enough for it i think. Out of those that i listed i would go with the Nuo 5.
cheers for the advice mate, just had a quick look at that nuo 5, its 800, i no thats only the first price ive seen, but i doubt i can stretch to that to be honest.
hmm well i asked danielle at djmart.com when they will be carrying the ecler line of mixers and he said in january or febraury so if you can wait he can give you a discount most possibly.
thing is i live in the UK mate, bit of a mission to get it here, with all the import taxes and all of that.
I would 2nd the Nuo5, I just picked one up last month and love it. As for what you listed, I believe Pioneer is coming out w/ a new line of mixers.. or at least updated mixers later this year. If so, the 600 will prob. drop in price, if not be replaced.
Yea if they do come out with a new line the 600 will prob be going for 700$ now while the 500 will drop more, thats probably why they have the rebates now. You dont want to limit yourself because some equipment is industry standard. Ill most possibly be getting a nuo5 in the next couple months or if the new line of pioneer is out with also 4 channels than ill be getting that.
I was doing a price search for the Nuo 5 on the internet & i found the cheaperest price i could get for it was 698.72 from DJ Empire
If that is still the same price in April when i finally save up enough money for this beauty & pro decks then i'll be buying it from there without doubt...
I'd surgest trying them all before anything (I'm sure you will) I have the X1500 and its awesome, but you definately can't go wrong with the Nuo5, but just so you know, it doesn't come with a sampler, dunno if thats a big deal to you though, as for the new Pioneer, I've heard it will be pretty much a 4 channel 909 with some other bells and whistles, but expect a very high pricetag, and possibly a new club standard.
yea ive got the X1500, reckon its awesome cant go wrong for the price
I've been addicted to my X1500 since I got mine in the first shipment of them that was available in the end of january 2004. Worked flawlessly all year and I'd recommend it over anything. Absolutely sick mixer with endless possibilities!

How much is 698.72 in US Dollars? Im thinking of saving up for an Ecler or a Denon X1500. Also I dont understand why Pioneer has to hog up every club with its equipment, theres simply better things out there.

I know at least one close friend of mine who's received a free DJM600 with a pair of CDJ-1000s this last month. Nothing like free dj gear to make you support a company's product!
and how did he get them for free???
Pioneer is a huge company and they get spread around a lot and want the most support they can get, he bascially supported their product and advertised. i think thats how.
I have had a close relationship with pioneer, and they may loan out products, but they never give them away. They dont care who you are. I am speaking of Pioneer USA at least.
