I love NCAA basketball I might be in the minority but I think its better than the NBA which I enjoy as well. My fav team is Syracuse and I also like Boston College but Syracuse overall.
Wanted to start a thread from now on through March Madness(the best tournament in the USA by far).

ive always been a duke fan and i get quite a lot of shit for it from my friends. they are all illini fans so ive gotten to rub their noses in it in the tourney for the past couple of years but im keeping my mouth shut this year. oh and ive developed into a depaul fan since i went there. they are playing tonight on espn2 against cincy.
college basketball is so much fun to watch. the runs, the crowds, the weight placed on every game, the upsets..it just makes it so much fun to watch.
Haven't watched much of the regular season since the Michigan program went to shit. But March Madness is always the best time of the year.

fuck duke
Tar Heels Baby!
Fuck Duke and North Carolina! Front running bastards....
Rooting for Duke is like rooting for Microsoft.
As a kid I was a front runner too loving Georgetown with Ewing. I still like them somewhat...
I'm originally a west coast boy and went to school at U of Oregon. Got to love my Ducks. Mac Court is easily one of the 10 loudest arenas in college basketball. Mark my words, they will be sick next year!! They didn't show up this year against Illinois though.
College is awesome for the intensity of the fans, the more exciting motion offenses, hoopla for the NCAA tournament, etc.
1. I root for my alma mater (The University of Pennsylvania Quakers)
2. I love the style of gameplay better than the NBA (I'm still a big fan of both)
3. and I can't stand teams who get their asses kissed by their media even though they're overrated *cough*Stanford*cough*
I hate UNC sorry Eddie.
Penn is a good team for Ivy league standards. What ever happend to that guy named Micheal Jordan who played for them. I remember the SI article about him.
Gonzaga until the death!

Go Terps!
Haha, even though UNC beat us by 30+ and Wake beat us by 15, our home court advantage is huge. We're still on a 16 win streak at home. So December 13, 3:00 PM we'll see what's up when we play Duke.
Yeah, I definately think NCAA basketball is becoming my favorite sport next to baseball. Always watch any game thats on espn or espn2, i dont really care whos playing.
And my Illini finally #1!
They are really something this year. Amazing to watch to.
Who could forget that Wake Forest game. I got the chills so many times watching that. 3 pointer after 3 pointer. :P
And rooting for Duke is like rooting for the Yanks! Blah! I hate them! Cincy is second fav team with the two big fellas.

Rushing the court after DePaul beat Marquette last night was a great time. Only problem was I couldn't find the girl I met after the celebration. We may not win it all, but we do get a fair share of upsets. Hopefully we wont get crushed by the Big East nextr year.
I do have to agree I like college better than pro for both basketball and football as well. Tons of teams and lots of rivalires, fight songs and tradition.
BC still undefeated wtf and Villanova beating Kansas! and blowing them out too. Good looking for the Big East!
Cuse & BC look good this year(my fav conference and one I like to stick up for since ACC & Big Ten & Pac 10 are huge)
Nice article from ESPN about the best home courts in NCAA. The link is here:
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/news/story?id=1974962
I went to Univ of Oregon and I'm glad to see Oregon get recognition here. No doubt, it rocks!! I've seen freshmen come in and get frightened by the fans!! After the game, you feel like you were playing you're so tired. I bet these other places are like that. That's why college B Ball is better than the NBA IMO.
ESPN.com
Wisconsin's home streak is most impressive, but is it the best place to watch a game? We asked some of our experts what they thought ...
Andy Katz
FIVE FAVORITES:
Allen Fieldhouse (Kansas)
I know I've suffered some hearing loss in this building. The old barn feel of this place is so nostalgic that it's hard to envision Kansas ever losing here.
Cameron Indoor Stadium (Duke)
The press row seats are a fire hazard and having sweaty students literally drip on you isn't pleasant but the atmosphere rocks.
Mac Court (Oregon)
The talk of dumping this relic and building a new spot downtown should stop. The overhang balcony has a theatre-like feel and the noise level, as well as the humidity from the moist air can make for an imposing home court.
Maples Pavilion (Stanford)
I know they've redone the place but I'll never forget interviewing Mike Montgomery amid crazed Stanford students, bouncing up and down on the springboard floor and being forced off my feet after Nick Robinson's 3-pointer beat Arizona last season. Trying to write on press row was a constant circus, as your pen would jump whenever a player passed or the fans continued to stomp.
The Palestra (Penn)
I'm not local to the city but I've been converted to the history of this joint. The love affair this city has with its D-I college hoops comes together at this shrine. The viewing from press row is perfect, although your back will likely be aching sitting on the bench seating. It's hard not to enjoy a game in this venue.
well with the superbowl over now my sports mindset is on UNC vs those fucks Duke.Always gauranteed to be a great game. ITS ON!
also went to another of my schools games on saturday and we beat Maryland, had a great time
BC still undefeated. Got Cuse v UCONN tonite. WHOOO!!! GO CUSE!
