Ben Acosta - Turbulence *Psy/Goa*

I think it's time to give back to this forum.

To start the new year off, I've created this Psy/Goa track, my first. I'm still pretty new to this whole 'producing' business but, I've DL'ed many quality tracks here so, I guess this is my way of giving back. (If you think a crap song like this is giving back :stongue

This whole song was made by Fruity Loops. Originally the inspiration come when I was working with my friend who was experiementing with FLS, just throwing down random beats and samples, playing with the speech synth. He made this really sweet bassline to go along with some thick pads, and he randomly threw in some vomit. So I guess it was just my turn to experiment with basslines too. And I absolutely love this track and I i loved making it, and I hope whoever listens to it likes it as well.

Dispite it's (final) tag, it's still not done, I want the kick to go even deeper, and I feel at some places it didn't mix very well. Probably add some snares too. And make the whole track longer. And of course, whatever you guys think I should change. But for now I'm satisfied with it.

Feel free to comment, I'm down for some constructive critism. I just would like some replies. Hope you enjoy!

Now the percussion is ok, but the kick lasts way too long, IMO. If you want a good kick you should maybe experiment with layering several kicks on top of eachother.
I dont like the choir-sample, i think you should find a better one, or put some more fx on it - right now it sounds like its straight from fruity loops.
You should try getting some other synths than 3xosc and ts404, since they sound a bit too simple.
I liked the reverse snares, and the whispering voice. Not too shabby for a first track.

Thanks for the feedback, I apperciate it a lot .
The kick, ya that's my biggest problem with it. I'm having problems because it's already 3 kicks in one. And the choir, it's straight from FLS, I did put some delay in it to spice it up, although it did come out pretty standard. I really do need more synths though, I use the 3x osc because it is pretty easy to use, but it does sound simple, and its free.

BTW, I ment that it was my first psy/goa (dark trance, now that Scottilious mentions it) track, not my first track ever. My first track ever SUUUUUCKED! It was more like a 3rd grade project!

Thanks for listening and the advice , this isn't the end of Turburlence
