Yeah, give me some info about an good but not to expensive dj boot sett plz! I got a lot of money now and I want to spend them.

i suggest technics 1210 mk2 or mk5s... and probably a numark dmx 06 mixer... thats a good beggining mixer...really strong and durable..good quality and has stuff liek effects in it...plus it looks really good... all this for probalby $2500 Australian or maybe less

Ok, this is a trend that I've been noticing lately in alot of "Buy Me Some Equipment" posts. Everyone says "OMFG!!! I've got loads of cash to spend tell me what to get!!!!!" and then someone lists of some nice equipment and the OP goes, "$2500??? WTF!?!?!? I'm not that rich, I was thinking more along the lines of $500."

The moral of the story you ask?? Well, it's simply this. Instead of saying "OMFG I've got piles of cash laying round my flat please tell me what to buy!!!" perhaps you could give us all an estimate of what you'd like to spend (i.e. $500, $1000, $2000 etc.) It makes the whole process alot easier.

it's always going to be the same answer as well
tech 12s, decent mixer...

figure out what you want, look at some online sites and maybe go into a local store and demo some of the gear

ultimately you'll be the one using it, so you should be the one to pick it

go and see what's out there first, because the possibilities are endless

then come back and ask questions about certain features of a mixer to help in your decision, not "should i get mixer a or mixer b?"

i don't know what you want in a mixer or what you're going to use it for, only you will know what you need

also there are literally dozens of these threads added every month to this board. how about looking at some of them for advice instead of creating a completly new thread. you don't even have to do a search - there's that many of em in the first 3 pages they just jump out at ya!
