Sad Al Azar - Voyage Into Darkness

Yesterday I started to think whether I should produce some sort of a farewell track for you all. I composed a little ditty that I sent to Mart and he took it to a whole another level.

We were slightly worried whether we'd get this one ready before I ship out (Monday) but we actually managed to finish it entirely in about 1 day!

So, instead of giving you rehashed oldies, here's a brand new track for a change:

Al Azar - Voyage Into Darkness (4:59, 256kbps, 9.15MB)

Just to confuse everyone again, it's a completely different kind of track than anything we've done before. I guess you could call it Dark Ambient or slowed down Breaks...

In any case, enjoy.
Al Azar will return on the second half of 2005.
Promise.

solid stuff and real quality, and like i said to you, i dunno why but in the intro the melody of suburban train just pops in my head, maybe i just want it to appear on the track, ok, i will shut up now, anyways, mint stuff

Posted by Thunder5 on Jan-07-2005 11:57:

OOH

Starts really dark.

this is just mint...

nik, good luck with the army..

montana: you better lay off the drugs...

it's good doesn't give me goosebumps or anything, but the idea begind the track makes it "different" such to speak.

will be waiting patiently for new Al Azar stuff to arrive on TA late 2005 as for now: good luck Nik! (and Mart ofcourse )

Goodbye Mr.Mystery... I love you

Listening to this track - the start is beautiful.
Breaks are wicked - would perhaps liked a bigger reverb on the snare (small detail).
Lovely little melody comes in. Great sounds and effects.

Man this is awesome.
In fact I might like to try remixing this at some stage.

Great work.

well, i haven't really commented on your stuff because I like everything you make and I don't know how to put it into words. But anyhow, this is a good track, but i do prefer your other tracks , but like i said nice stuff you got here!

g'luck in the army, and i apologize for being such a twat with you in the past, gbye!

This is mint or chocolate even!

Yet dark still warm and smooth. Somehow reminds me of some early 90s ambient tracks which i love oh so much. Good job! I enjoy this very much.

Very cool atmosphere I think! Not really my style, but very well done.

Good luck in the army mate, you'll do fine I'm sure...

Nice intro!
Very good breaks.
Maybe a little more reverb to the snare would help as someone said around here.
I don't like that flanger.
It's a nice one.
3.7/5

Good luck with the army and stuff

Here goes my favorite Al Azar production so far!!

This is simply amazing work, best tune I heard on this boards in a long time. The amount of quality in this tune is unbelievableThe atmosphere is so dark and chilly, makes me really emotional. This tune actually makes me remember and think of things I usually avoidit makes the little hair on the back of my neck stand up gives me Goosebumps.
I feel like I can listen to it again and again for hours with out getting tired of it heh

Top production!!!! Shame it's abit short though!

Good luck with the army man!

I won't have anyone to send my horrible works-in-progress to anymore. And that makes me really sad .

Aww, don't worry. I'll be back before you even notice it.

Woop, nearly missed this one. Feel free to do so, you know where to find me

This could be turned into a wicked dark prog track in the right hands...
