Just in case anyone relatively new to trance is reading this, do yourself a massive favor and listen to this for two reasons:

a) provides a glimpse into the heart and soul of trance

b) helps to explain why Paul van Dyk has a much more storied history in the genre than other big names out there these days

i didnt know pvd spun like this back then. this is exactly the same sorta music i used to listen to at the time.

kinda funny how if this stream was played to majority of ppl on here, theyd be all like 'ewww this is that rave shit'. amazing what a brand name can do for a lesser respected genre of dance music

I'm not sure when you tuned in, but he was playing straight trance about 45 minutes earlier.

Not that I have anything against rave, but I liked the trance quite a bit.
