which outro do you usually use?

this is question is in refrence to mixing the incoming songs' intro with the outgoing songs' outro, as im guessing the majority of us do with trance. but which outro do you USUALLY use, the last outro of the song (i.e. the point where it will never gain more energy) or do you use any outro sound coming off from a build-up? i think its easier to do the last outro because they are usually a bit longer a more forgiving, but when i use those the energy can get.... mundane. so sometimes ill use any outro off a build-up to try to get the mix moving, but that can cause troubles sometimes if i take too long to bring the incoming track in, what are your thoughts on this?

There is no set way of mixing tunes. All tunes are different. There is no right or wrong.

If the playing track is really long, and/or I get the cued track beatmatched quickly, I'm much more likely to start my mix early. Mixing intro-to-outro for every song makes for a very boring set.

very true. my shit usually sounds like shit if I do it in the middle of a track though.

It really depends on the song. Sometimes I mix the same song different, to introduce some variety or get it out of the way. If you mix too early, the track melodies will clash together (i.e. sound like shit) and you may end-up hanging in the breakdown of the incoming track, which is not always a good thing. The latter part is more likely though. If you mix in too late, it will be extremely boring mix.
