Dunno what i'll be doing that day but it wont be as good as seeing tiesto

Posted by zshev on Jan-19-2005 00:08:

I'll be there
(Colours@The Academy.. not Ice Factory)

He always gets double booked when he comes here, last year he played at RoomAtTheTop in Bathgate (which is closer to Edinburgh than Glasgow) before coming to The Arches in Glasgow in the same night. He still managed to get to the Arches for about 1:45pm and played till 4:15ish -great night

So I dunno what they do.. fly him by helicopter?

I did the double last year, and i believe Tijs drove. We managed to break new record for 'mph in icey conditions on the M8'...
in racing back half way thru Adagio For Strings, to sticking our leg in the door to stopthem closing up for the night at 2am...

When we had a pitstop, coatcheck etc... finally in the mainroom...there was tijs just stepping into the booth to drop El Toro.

So IT CAN BE DONE.

See you somewhere on the road between Perth & Glasgow :P

btw. ithink its a bit further this time... and what with the settimes being set as they are... his set in Ice Factory might actually be longer than the one in the Academy.

Yeh gonna be a great night. There's a good few scots on here I think, just most don't post to the UK forums I guess

Going to Colours Bday part 1? Zabiela, Digweed, Dubfire, Guetta, Max Graham, Shapeshifters etc?

Having attended the Colours nite at Carling Academy feat. Tiesto I can only say I was dissapointed.

Stewart Green (1st up I recollect, although judgement impaired) was gash, Gianfranco Ferri (2nd up) was gash, Tiesto however, was good.

My night was spoiled by DJ's previous to Tiesto.

Why the main man played here with this support is beyond me.

The venue was average at best.

Carling academy is good for rock and what I can only describe as "concerts".

From an EDM point of view it w@nks dagz or dugz or dogs.

Definately NOT the muttz nuttz.

Having witnessed Tiesto @ The Arches I plead with Tiesto to only play within The Arches if ever EnScotia.

Yeh I agree completely. The Carling Academy fucking sucked for an EDM event, plus the ned factor was unbearable.

Tiesto did in all honesty play a bit of a stormer. Universal Nation (Montana edit) and Nalin and Kane - Open Your Eyes!!!!

Warmup acts were ok, nothing special. Gio's last tune was the only one i've deemed worthy to mention.. Ficta - Eli although Ralphie B - Massive was nice

hey guys...

i was lucky enough to arrive back in Glasgow from perth as Tijs pulled up in his jeep. Went backstage with tha-man and had champagne in his dressing room!!!!
Stood backstage with Tiesto's management dimitri & Maurice while Tijs spun.
And Nalin & Kane was my request! So glad you enjoyed it
