any 3d studio max users out there?

im having a problem with reactor. earlier today i didnt run into this but for some reason now i am.

basically i just want the cloth to fall on the table and hang there like it would. i added the "reactorCloth" modifier to the tablecloth and i made the table a rigid body and the tablecloth the cloth body. when i go to animate it though i run into that error. i dont understand why, because i dont have a rigid body added to the tablecloth, obviously. anyone know whats wrong?

Ummm, I've only used 3ds max a little (I'm not a graphics-y person), but do you have a gravity system set up so that it can fall and hang on the table? (sorry if thats in the pic and I don't see it, like I said, haven't used it much).

*shrug* I don't really know though

dont need a gravity system. reactor does that for you...

Haven't used Max in a while but here's some things to check:

-Make sure the plane has a reator cloth modifier applied (mass greater than 0) and is part of a cloth collection.
-In the Reactor properties for the plane have the mass greater than 0 with concave mesh selected.
-Make sure unyielding or inactive is not checked
-Make sure your table is part of a rigid body collection and has a mass of 0kg or unyielding checked.

then simulation.

www.cgtalk.com is also a very good community resource for more info.

thanks.. i tried all that but i still have the same problem. i'm joining CGtalk right now. i'll check that place out and make a thread with the same question if there isnt already one....

I used to play around with it, but... I have no time. studying french, russian, and C++ on my own free time is too much. No way I could have included 3ds max in there too.
