ID-ed; Armin van Buuren - Serenity !!!

he guys,

during the broadcast of ASOT 173 xxxl, armin (re)broadcasted his set he did @ panama. there was a track played by him, #23, which is called "Unknown Artist -Unknown Title - White)" .... so this is what its about;

00:00 - 03:00 Armin van Buuren Live from Panama Amsterdam
1. Ridgewalkers featuring El - Find (Markus Schulz Intro Edit)
...
23 Tiesto vs Armin van Buuren - Suburban Train vs Yet Another Day
!!! 24. Unknown Artist - Unknown Title (White) !!!
25 Remy & Roland Klinkenberg - Till Ya Drop
...

DOWNLOAD AN ORIGINAL FULL QUALITY RIP HERE

so there's no name for this track. of course armin will never leave a track unnamed, he most of the times plays some exclusive unknown track first without naming the title, afterwards he plays the track again in the following ASOT, and then he usually gives title free of that unknown track. i heard this #23, and i was totally blown away ...

can somebody help me? maybe nobody can, caus armin is the only person who has this track, and maybe, he never played it again. it's a very epic trancer, with some beautiful classy tunes in it.
maybe there's also a thread about this track, but i cant find it ... i did the search several times, but no results

SOMEBODY, HELP ME PLEASE!!

grtz thamaestro

Dunno

Someone must ID, very nice track.

Sounds like Tiesto/William Orbit work. My guess is William Orbit - Ravels Pavane Pour Une Infante Defunte (Tiesto remake)

Lightbulb

Strange ID this one...
I think it's very likely to be a production by Tiesto and Armin.
It definately has the hihat and distorted lead of Tiesto (so if it isn't his production, Armin has used his hihat samples and his virus soundset). On the other hand, it has the wellknown kick of Armin.

And I think Geert Huinink has layed down a few chords in the break. Very simple chords, but they work.

So my guess... it's Tiesto vs Armin.
Well.. we will know it in Euro Disney?

Sounds more like a remake of Souvenir De Chine!

Edit:
After listening a 1000 times to this ID, i'm 100% for sure this is a Remake/Remix of Souvenir De Chine!

Posted by MennoB on Feb-18-2005 19:16:

i have no idea, to be honest.. but other guys (in this thread ot somewhere else) also thought its a remake/remix of souvenir de chine ... but im not familiar with that track, so ill give it a listen and try to find the match

Posted by HOR03116585 on Feb-19-2005 12:02:

i reckon its a remake or remix of fire & ice-souvenir de chine
i wouldnt be suprised if tiesto made a remake of it..

Posted by Boy trance on Feb-19-2005 19:10:

No offence guys, but aside froma few chord progressions this sounds absolutely NOTHING like souvenir de chine... totally different tune.

Posted by KlePto on Feb-19-2005 21:14:

It's a pretty sweet track, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it "Adagio Killer"

WOW this tune sounds amazing.... :O hope it can be ID'd soon.

Smiley DJ

In my opinion I think that Alt + F4 is right. It sounds like William Orbit and Tiesto work.....This tune has a lot of similarities to another William Orbit and Tiesto Tune - Adagio For Strings.

I agree with Alt + F4. I think its William Orbit - (Maurice Ravel's) Pavane Pour Une Infante Defunte (Tiesto remake)

Posted by ThaMaestro on Feb-21-2005 12:20:

u mean the track alt + f4 - alt f+4 ??? because thats not the one, that is already id-ed a long time ago, and played much more before by armn ....

Posted by MennoB on Feb-21-2005 14:50:

He mean's 'JJ-T1' cause he has ALT+F4 under his user name.

But they are wrong. It is a 'Tiesto look-a-like' remix of Souvenir De Chine. Don't know who did it..

LOL, I can replay the entire souvenir de chine melody by ear on keyboard. I don't need to listen to it again

The melodies are different... the first few chords are the only one's that are similar. That is all. They're completely different tunes aside from having strings/pads with chord progressions!

IF this is a souvenir remix, then Tiesto reworked the entire meldoy and changed it up completely.

No way is it a Pavane remix either. If so it was butchered beyond belief and Tiesto isn't THAT stupid to destroy one of the best melodies ever created like that. Guys, let's start looking in another direction? Like something NEW.
