Smile [Prog]Sean Tyas - Remember (Massive Remix ) <256>

Hello

Some know already, some don't, Fahad has a new PC since friday 31-12 hehe

Am finally done with school, free till 28-01 and my new pc is set for a day or 5 now.

I was messing once with the midi of this with the old pc, made some dreamy sound, had some ideas. But gave up.

Every try i attempted later with the file, i demoloshed the original melodies bit by bit, leaving only piece of the main melody.

So now i finished it, am actually pleased with it, some relaxing music it is now.

Made with headphones hope the levels are decent.

Made in Reason

Enjoy and feedback is welcomed tips also

hehe the loop in "Rio Klein - Fearless" is back.. taken from the good ol` soundbank.. anyways nice percussions.. the bass is really good.. like it much.. love the atmosphere.. good production.. although the "Rio Klein" loop is a little too recogniseable.. (that`s prolly cause i`ve been hammering the Push remix for too long though) .. ur still is kind of proggy, i like that.. good work.. i find myself enjoying this track very much.. i really like the FX..

top track 9/10

edit: i have to point out that the volume of the whole is too low

Great job Massive. I've never heard the original but this one's nice!

Posted by Massive84 on Jan-13-2005 08:52:

Thanks Subtle and Steven

Hmm i never heard that tune you mentiond Subtle, so couldn't know.

Ya volume is a bit low, but can't get it louder it will clip..not sure how to fix that.

Any more?

i love it, i quite like this slower 130bpm-ish style that you have shown and such

Nearly flawless, excellent production on this one. You've improved enormously, this wouldn't sound out of place in a GDJB set.

hey...it has a proggy feeling

but its a melodic one the same

think that you have to spend more time with working on clearness of the mix just.

Love these pads

Good production!

gorgeous atmosphere

i've never liked your bass sounds, but that's just a personal thing.

great stuff

Posted by mef on Jan-13-2005 10:02:

Nice progression. Like the off-beat synth sound. Pads are good. Very chilled. Think you could bring the whole thing up a bit volumewise
Quite different from your usual projects.

Very nice work mate

I'm lovin the ambience and the sweet gated noises...this is definitely a chilled prog. Nice and calm. Just what I need after frustrating myself in Reason!

Oke made the main mix as loud as i can.

Link updated
Very cool to hear people like it

Sorry about the bass TOR best i could do hehe with Subtractor.

Thanks all

Hi Fahad,

Lovely atmosphere in this one! You've improved alot, the sound is alot better. The only thing that i didnt like was the bass. It sounds dull and so goes for the clap as well.

Catch me on MSN for a chat mate ,
Laters.
Keep'em coming.

Antonio.

Sounds good. Maybe bass does need working on? Overall very cool though mate. Look forward to more stuff

Posted by Mane on Jan-13-2005 23:47:

wow you are really good (and you use only reason :P) this remix is great and hmm i really like this bassline actually heh but i dont like this clap instead :P overall prety nice remix

Posted by MegaMan on Jan-14-2005 00:19:

hmmm, dunno i found nothing special in this one
but its a great chillout

Posted by Sunquest on Jan-14-2005 02:28:

great quality as usual although i think you should change the clap, make it sound better,
sounds are all great, and u want to quit producing i told u never quit!
actually, once it all his with the melody, the clap kinda matches, its kinda like "York" style nice chilly laid back now if only u can make guitar like them hehe

anyways keep it up man, ur on fiiiiiiiire!

Posted by thoughtlessjex on Jan-14-2005 05:19:

Percs set a nice groove.

I like the lead.

I dunno, the buildup between 3:26 and 4:26 seems to begin to wane in energy as it goes on. I don't know if this was intentional, but I think a more energetic approach could have been achieved. When the lead comes in, you have the same problem; you get a good energy going, then you lose track of it as the song runs it's course. Maybe it needs more spontaneity.

You've got a good atmosphere here, just don't let go of that energy.

Posted by Sirocco on Jan-14-2005 05:36:

at 1:28 it seems the rest of the track is being compresed with the pad or something, cause the intensity and velocity lowers extremely.

awesome track, u rock!

Posted by en2t on Jan-14-2005 08:05:

the pads create a very nice atmosphere in this track, but as mentioned before: the bass and claps need to be worked. Make the bass synth richer, instead of a simple low toned sine wave (that's what it sounds like to me now). And make the clap spacier, so that it covers more frequencies on the spectrum. Otherwise, good job!

Stan.

Oh my god the original is good!!! Sean used some wicked instruments, and I think you don't. Therefore I don't like this. Original is much much much much much better. Sorry Well produced though..
