Misja Helsloot has been DJing since 1992. He received his first big break when he was handpicked by DJ Tiesto to mix the CD "In Trance We Trust 001" which was released in September 1998 on Black Hole Recordings. Shortly after started his own sublabel at a record company in Rotterdam. In December 1999 his first CD on his own label was finished, "The Creation - Day One", was the first CD in a series of seven.

In August 2001, Misja started his own record label and Gesture Music was born. His first release titled, �First Second" was released in September 2002 and was played extensively by Paul van Dyk. Since then Misja Helsloot has quickly become one of the Netherlands biggest trance DJ�s and producers, following in the footsteps of artists such as Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren and Johan Gielen. DJ bookings have brought him all over Europe and North America, and he has headlined major trance festivals such Extrema, Love Fields, Dance Valley, Qontact and Trance Energy! On March 12th, Misja Helsloot will headline the mainstage at TRANCEFORMERS 4 and deliver a 2 hour set of trance that you will not soon forget!

Danny told me in the summer he tried to get Misja but he didn't want to come to Van.

Holy shit!! i had no idea anyhting like this existed in winnipeg!!! you see im in adelaide australia with a population of 1.3m we get the acts here! in recent times misjah, armin van buuren, ferry corsten, matt darey, agenlli and nelson, armand van helden, prodigy, signum etc etc to many to name.

im a trance(main style)/hard trance/house dj here in adelaide and im moving to live with my family in winnipeg in august. i was worried that my music would suffer and that id have to be constantly going to toronto or calgary for gigs. wow maybe there is hope for me.

as much as id love to get regular gigs id doubt it although i may be lucky. but it would be fun to get up there and play in front of a completely different crowd a few times while im over there.
