Boa, Guv, System, Comfortzone, Docks, Viva, Your Grannies basement...Somebody, Anybody, Book this man -- Puewese !

Deliver this Aussie Prodigy to the T Dot. We need to pay our respectz to the man who has created some massive choons over the past few years. Everytime you think he's created the bomb track, he goes and does it again. The man is truly gifted and deserves to be brought here.

If you agree with me -- say BOH !!!

I'm sure of one thing, it's a lot more expensive to fly from Australia than from somewhere in Europe.

The problem with booking luke chable is that he's a terrible DJ. The AUTAs praise all his production work, but his live sets leave much to be desired. That being said he is getting better, he got the opening time slot at one of australia's biggers outdoor evens called 'summadayze' but he's still not someone to book according to them.

After asking why he got a crappy timeslot I got the following responses:

Article on Phil K and the latest mix comp he did for the Y4K Series (Progressive-Sounds):

Phil K - Y4K
Label: Distinctive Records | Release Date: Monday, March 07, 2005

Phil K - Y4K With the Y4K series really establishing itself at the forefront of breaks compilations it was decided the time was right to broaden the horizons ever so slightly by embracing the sound of Phil K. No stranger to the Australian breaks scene, Phil K has been around for many years and has always been on the cutting edge of electronic music. Phil's productions and mixes have been embraced world over by the likes of Sasha, Dave Seaman, Lee Burridge and Anthony Pappa to name but a handful.

"Best Undiscovered DJ? Rising Aussie breakbeat DJ Phil K - not undiscovered but definitely going places." - Sasha

Entering his twentieth year as well a respected and pioneering DJ, Phil's sounds and DJing performances have matured immeasurably, and his philosophy is exactly the same as it was almost 20 years ago. There aren't many DJs who can claim that.

"I've known Phil K for years and for me he is the most inspirational DJ, and I'm lucky enough to count him as a good friend. Quite simply, he has more talent in his little finger than most so called 'superstar DJs' could dream of in a lifetime. A future hero for the next generation, mark my words." - Dave Seaman

Phil K has put together an eclectic mix that ranges from subtle progressive textures to mashed up guitars to dancefloor fillers none of which seem out of place as they sit next to each other in the mix. The tracklist of Phil's Y4K is a true testament to the sound that he has championed since the beginning of his career.

Featuring tracks from Habersham, Tiga, Agoria, Warp-esque Aussie breaks favourite Andy Page and even Phil K himself, this is an intelligent, well thought out and impressively produced mix that is a notably worthy addition the Y4K series. If you like your breaks you need this Y4K, if you like good music you need this Y4K in fact you JUST NEED this Y4K. Period.

Tracklist:

1. Lusine - Slur
2. Habersham - Song Of The Lizard
3. Rhino Drum - Dark Da Da
4. Tiga - Pleasure From Bass (Joakim Mix)
5. Agoria - Kofea
6. Jahcoozi - Fish (Team Natascha Mix)
7. Trafik - Echoes (Petter Airguitar Mix)
8. Phil K & Habersham - Cloudbrake
9. Motive Feat Abigale Fischer - A.B.E (Real 128 Mix)
10. Son Of The Electric Ghost - The Devil's Logic
11. Product.01 - I Like It Loud (Buckfunk 3000 Mix)
12. Vini Vs The Funk Monster - Dominion
13. Nubreed - To Know (F.A.R.T Mix)
14. Andy Page - Serpent

God, how i love my mix comps without cheese and those overplayed, over hyped gino house beats !
