[wanting to start out] A question for you talented people

I've taken a year off from studies so i can devote some time to trance music production as ive wanted to start for a while but couldnt fit it around studying since im sure u gota put alot of hours into perfecting the art, especially since im not classically trained with piano or anything. im pretty much going on motivation cos i really want to do this.

ive bought a Macintosh iBook G4 with Mac OS-X and i'm wondering if anyone can recommend what production/mastering program might be best for me to use to create trance music? im not afraid of spending the money but i want it to be a good investment

well u dont have to spend any money really hehe, just need wavelab and some plugins for mastering... im sure thats what most use...

Get Reason 3.0 or Fruity Loops 5. And, if you choose Fruity, you don't need any mastering-program, because the sound gets so clean.

And btw, Sunquset: He asked the real talented guys to answer this thread - not n00bz like you Nah, just kidding with you

If you're on mac i recon you should get logic6 with reason. Fruityloops can't really be compared to these two, and it isn't even available for mac?

^ Stupid.

But no, FL Studio doesn't come for Mac, so Logic is a good choice.

Reason or Logic for the mac.
Is SX available ?

Oh my god... hope you're not serious.

Anyways, my buck o-five is to get logic6 with reason and rewire it up! And as someone mentioned, get waves diamond bundle... pretty much all you may need, except for them vsti's !
