Do you feel 'Energetic'

My first web release of the year 2005 and it starts with a big bang.
The track is as the title says very energetic, alot of samples of my korg workstation are used in this one,
i hope you will like it, and untill next one

Dunno buddy...
Your website kinda looks like an advertising website for the new kind of soap available on the market. Songs sounds nice and kinda chill-out style, but that alone doesn't do it for me Where the f*ck is that groovy rhythm? Don't get me wrong, the song is actually pretty good, but it sounds too dry and happy. (typical midi-sounding) The first thing you should do, is give the song more percs & rhythm-details!

i'am tired of those comments about the webpage, and no i won't do anything about that cause i like it, as for the music it's simple either you like it or you don't, i had alot of positive reactions in the past it's just my style, and sure i want to improve in the future and i will.
anyway thanks for the reply.

cheers, steven

lets have a listen....(ps. that website is ugly :P)

Why the track sounds like midi...? everything is recorded in mono, i only hear things though my right speaker. Melodies are ok, but the whole sound is very simple and midi sounding, sounds more like a gameboy advance track under a happy rpg then a serious track...sorry but this is not very good compared to other tracks on thsi forum, mayb you should review some other stuff and hear what i mean.

Stino.

i think first you should learn to accept critics, otherwise theres no point posting stuff on this forum.

as for the music, it's not as simple as that. I think the technical side of trance production is at least as important as the ideas nowadays. So when somebody doesnt like your track, it can also be because your technique is bad, and this has nothing to do with your style .

i'll have a listen a bit later

peace

Actually I like Your Site

Ok not the best looking I have ever visited, But definatley one of the most comprehensive :-)

All the info you have provided is great - Too many sites tell you nothing about the person or people behind them - Nice 1

Also I love the "help me ou out" section & the fact you are willing to place links for others - Nice Touch :-)

As for your track - I admit after reading the title, I was somewhat dissapointed, expecting a real banging thumper of a track - Maybe changing it's title will help people not to expect a mass of ENERGY !!

You have some great elements in there & I think the tune is great.

Like you said you will improve in time with your pruduction skills

Regards

PS: What Software You Using ????

Sorry.. The website *is* ugly, but that's because I'm all about the Minimal thing.

I'm trying to find some positives here, but unfortunately I can't.. As mentioned before, the entire track sounds like a MIDI, and all in all, it's not really energetic as it's hyped as being.

The previous comments are good starters.. The best you can do is listen to a couple Episodes of ASOT, TATW and New York State of Mind. This'll give you a broader idea of 'Trance' music as a whole. Once you've got some ideas in mind, take them and apply them. Experiment with different Instruments and patterns.. You've obviously learned how to program, which is good, but that's about where it ends.

Cheers, and I hope it works better next time.
