Is There Anyway Of Running Two DSP Plugins In Winamp, ie Shoutcast & Pitch Controller

hi, i wana shoutcast but up the pitch by 2 or 3%, make it better to listen to, any ideas out? while im running shoutcast, as shoutcast runs the dsp plug in and so do pitch contollers.

There is a plugin stacker plugin..

it's called Much FX, and it works great, for stacking say, pitchfork and DFX.

I have heard that it doesn't work with shoutcast dsp though.. not sure try it out.

man i love you! thanks a million, this plug in will work with shoutcast, says in the readme, so ive goto tinker and play with it, but i could be shoutcasting tonight or atleast this week, thanks for going to the trouble to upload too!

well i still have one other problem, now im all kitted out, but my cable modem can only hold 7 listeners, i need a server or something to go thro to increase listener capicity, have any contacts?

hehe..

sorry no, you'll have to find somewhere else where you can get bandwidth from..

are you using your computer to mix?
I'd like to be able to do that. with, either Virtual Turntables, or with two winamps and pitchfork.

a university campus works well, a lot of people rip off their T1 lines..

my college has T1, but how do i go about using it? plus i have 2 X 10megs of webspace my ISP provides and they can send at 300k plus which is perfect, i can do what i like with this space so is there anyway i can use that?

Posted by RavingLunatic on Oct-29-2001 22:33:

Well.. just set up the server program to run at either one of those locations. you could run into problems though. I doubt you can run an exe in your 10mbs of webspace. I doubt your university will appreciate that, you could get your used account yanked. or you might not even be able to, there could be a firewall in your way..

theoretically, it should be possible to stream to the server at your university, and then from there out to the rest of the world on T1. I've never tried it, so let me know..

yeah my college has a firewall, and and tight one, i couldnt even load a jpg there, dunno why, but how can try to go thro my ntl space?

*edit* i think i get you with setting the server to go thro my space, ill have a little go, could u write a little more details in doing that tho please?

Posted by RavingLunatic on Oct-29-2001 22:43:

sorry bro, like I say, I've never tried this..

all I did was install shoutcast on my computer at home and stream some tunes. I read the help files and FAQs, I suggest you do the same.

I know that people do this, for example, hook up turntables in germany, stream to NYC, then shoutcast from there to the world..

but I'm not sure about anything more than that..

let me know if you get if figured out.

Posted by Coup on Oct-29-2001 22:46:

well i have no idea, i acess my space via a client with ip-upload.ntlworld.com and then a username and then a password, so i idea how to get shoutcast to run thro it!

Posted by RavingLunatic on Oct-29-2001 22:55:

well.. start by uploading the exe for the server. then try to run it.. then try to connect to it..

sorry, wish I could be of more help, but I can't..

Posted by Coup on Oct-29-2001 22:56:

exe = shoutcast dns source?
i think i get where ur going with this now, ill have a blast later, have to do now, thanks!

Posted by Coup on Oct-29-2001 23:29:

well i upped it to my space but theres no way of running it at all, shit!

Posted by RavingLunatic on Oct-30-2001 00:21:

Yeah I suspected that.

any webhosting place would be pretty dumb to let you run your own exes on the server..

have you tried live365.com? they insert ads in your stream in exchange for bandwidth or something like that I think..

cool, ive heard aboutn them, ill have a look when i get back from college! thanks! i dont mind adverts, if its all there is!
