Migraines

I fucking hate them. My vision just started blurring so I decided to make a topic granted I can barely read what I'm typing. After all the blurriness subsides I'm gonna be in some fukcing pain. Took an Imitrex so hopefully it'll help. Who else here deals with these bastards?

yea i get them. i got one the last time sander k. came here and it was a tough decision but i had to leave early. usually i take an excedrin migraine and try to sleep. hopefully i feel better when i wake up.

I get them too. As soon as I notice the blurring I try to take a nap. That usually does the trick of me avoiding the headache. But if I can't take a nap, damn.

I don't know man. I think passing out as a result of a migraine and losing blood is normal. But that's just me.

fuck duct tape and a can of wd40 to fix everything, with alcohol you can get the people who care that w/e it is is broken drunk, thus having a good time and avoiding all real work

I went to bed right after i posted this and now I'm up at 6. Till have a little pain but my head feels a lot better though. Shit man. I was laying in bed with chills and shaking.

And I have gone to the doctor for it. He has me on Imitrex and Fioricet. I like Fioricet better.. It makes ya all .. haha.

My girlfriend's dad used to get them so bad he had an Imitrex shot that he gave to himself when he got them. Once one hit him while driving and he had to pull over and get her mom to come get him.

Yeah, I've gotten them since I was a little kid. "Cluster headaches" they're called. I went for a while, a couple years even, without having a single one, but this year they're back with fury. I probably had the worst one I've ever had about three weeks ago, was throwing up uncontrollably it hurt so bad...yikes. They seem to be caused by the weather, and although I don't get blurry vision, I see little dancing lights...if that makes any sense. When I see little "sparks" streak across my field of vision, I know I'm in for some pain.

God I hate migraines! I always get so pissed right before they come because I know its going to suck ass. Ive been to the doctor a couple times now and they gave me some prescription shit. I actually have a way of detecting whether they are going to occur or not before the actual blurriness. I just close my eyes, and in the darkness I should be able to see a solitary bright flashing spot. If its there then I know im screwed. Oh well, just have to keep drinking alot of water I suppose.

I find that regularly smoking marijuana leads to a reduction in the frequency and severity of migraine headaches. I haven't had one in a few years now. Throwing up used to help me out a bit too.

Imitrex makes me feel like I'm having a heart attack. I take Gravol for the vision "aura" thing, and ibuprophen as an anti-inflammatory. My sister takes "caffergot" but that only works if you catch it right away.
