How is PvD going to pull this off??

From paulvandyk.de:

31.12.2001 Los Angeles Giant
31.12.2001 Phoenix Venue tbc
31.12.2001 Las Vegas Venue tbc

i know people say "pvd is god", but how does he plan to be in three cities on the same day?

intrigued,
kevin

Posted by Shudder on Oct-29-2001 21:02:

are you sure the dates are confirmed yet??

it says 'tbc' after the last two so i guess its not a set date yet.

chances are he could do it if he spins 1-2 hours per venue and jumps on some supersonic aircraft to be in time for the next one.

but thats if he starts early in the night...

the date at Giant has been on the site for a while, the
Phoenix and Vegas dates were just added recently. I'm not sure why
he would add more with LA still up there, but I suppose it would be
possible to play all three with his own plane and an early start.

Yeah they were already advertising the Phoenix venue when I saw him there on Oct. 18th. I was suprised that he picked Phoenix of all places to play on new years eve, but it makes more sense now that I see he is Playing L.A. and Vegas too.

I believe last year he played both Giant, LA and Nikita, SF on the same day. So its possible he will play two venues or more on the same day.

fuck what a show that would be. pvd on new years. i would die to see it.

hell yeah, what, like $5000 for each venue....damn....he'll start spinning at 8-10 at one place, 11:30- 1:30 at another and 3:00-5:00 at the third place...wait hold on....i dont think anything like this will happen, nevermind...

$5000 each venue?????? I doubt it. Last yr for new yrs he spun LA and SF and I heard his PAYDAY was circa $150,000 which is similar to the amount that all the top dj's commanded.

Hello.
Tim, hehehe... =p

ok, concerning Paul NYE Parties... Here are some information.

Paul will spin about 3 hours on Phoenix, Arizona.
Then he will travel to play at Giant in LA (4 hours) as last year. After his set, he goes to Vegas, Nevada to finish the party.

And yes. he hires a private jet.

Many Greetings,

f0x

it's possible... i was reading an article about julesy a while ago... he started playing one club early in the night, drove like 3 hours to another city and finished off a party

Posted by arturob on Oct-31-2001 05:18:

yes. time zones.

Posted by Excite on Oct-31-2001 05:28:

Is Paul Van Dyk worth $50,000 a gig? In Europe I would say he iis. Here he spin all his old shit. But here in the US he spins a bunch of his old shit...not worth it.

Posted by arturob on Oct-31-2001 05:31:

Paul... hmmmmm yes. it worth 50k.
period. remember. "USA is ANOTHER WORLD"

Paul will aways PLAY BEST IN BERLIN OR GERMANY THAN IN USA.

Americans Education isn`t the same as Berliners.

Many Greetings,

f0x

Easily... Paul usually plays for 2-3 hours, with a plain/good car it will be possible You all are lucky , you'll see PvD @ the New Year party. Let's ask Paul to fly to Russia.
