Why some people who say that they are real tranceaddict confirm:

It's trance music........oh my god they are the best producer. Well...if that shit is trance music i'll stop to listen trance msuic right now. Hey this is a pure dance techno style only in club not on the trance scene.

I think u'll find that those tracks are nothin close to techno. And that they are in fact Trance tracks but in the sense of commercial trance prob even Hard House some of them.

darude is house. kernkraft is house, 666 is hard house. none of them pathetic excuses for tunes are techno. im not a techno fan but boy i can imagine how offended some techno fans would be if you called them techno. true they arnt proper house, but they live in a smelly little sub-genre i call pop-dance. cheese for kiddies, thats all it is...

its ok. i think i said in some other post that 99.99999999999999% of the population dont know what techno really is... they think its either hard trance of happy hardcore sounding. to which i laugh till i die then correct them of course (from the dead)

well i dont think any of these songs are even house, they would be closer to trance songs if they werent pop music. house music doesnt change like trance does, and those songs have definite changes, just cuz its not 'trance' doesnt mean its techno OR house, its prolly pop music...late/

yeah I know there are genres, no need for hostility dude!

my favorite genre is trance, I also like techno, and a little bit of hard house, ambient..

but geez, so many tracks blur the line, it's pointless trying to classify stuff.

and even more pointless is arguing about what's what! I know what trance is, and I love it, and if someone wants to come and say that it's techno, good for them, doesn't bother me..

hence i call them pop-dance, because you cant classify them as any genre because theyre just cheese, basically pop music without vocals. but darude is more commercial house than trance, and 666 is definatly hard house, but cheese. as for kerkreaft. well once sum1 said to me it was progressive trance. and i laughed at them like i do. but really its jsut all round crapness, because it jsut oozes cheese from every orafice, and only gets called trance because it has a distinguishing electronic melody which happens a lot

edit: and yes i know i cant type "just" and "like" properly

would u guys say Picotto - Pegasus original is techno....hard pounding stuff, i wouldnt really call trance or hard trance and far from house!

hey USSR Junkie and DumondeAddict and all other "techno" fans offended by my classification of those songs,
I didnt read the post that guy wrote ..I just saw ZOmbie Nation and classified all of them as techno cos I didnt have the time to write an ellaborate post..Sorry for it.
But be a bit more subtle in your critisism nex time..I dont think you are getting you message across to me by making such blunt statements.

er...no real Tekno is like Juan Atkins, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Jeff mills, etc...

MANY people refer to the whole electronic/dance genre as techno. dunno why. Sometimes people confuse me with saying techno instead of saying the real genre name.

btw...those are not gay songs. Darude totally caught the attention of the mainstream crowd and underground crowd.

It all just goes to show the fact that most people really just don't know what the hell real techno is. And the sad fact is that people just have a set idea that techno is, as DuMonde TrAnCeR, said Happy Hardcore in disguise. It actually saddens me that this is the case - peeps need to be informed but some (in no reference to anyone here ) just don't want to know.

This disinformation also manifests it's self in another form. I bet we have all been in the situation where your with your mates and an ad for "Best dance hits in the world ever...vol 129 - Featuring Ian Van Dahl, 666, ATB and other assorted Cheese" comes on and all your mates automatically assume that because your into dance music you want that album.

because personally i'm a bit confused at the moment...

gosh you guys bash tracks so much, just because they have been overplayed, i bet the first time you heard it (sandstorm) you wnet crazy or something, i personally didnt like that tune when i heard it, but i know lots of people went crazy over it, and now you just bash it because it is the cool thing to do, just like the djs these days, they are only doing progressive trance and little uplifting becasue they are worried about what someone will say, back in like 98 or 99, everyone spun uplifting and shit

I love darude sandstorm, it's an awesome track..
same with zombie nation..
and ATB - till I come
even Silence DJ tiesto mix

they got overplayed for a reason, because they are good.
that being said, they are overplayed, and I prefer not to spin them, because everyone already has heard them anyway..

I didnt like Darude at at any given point...or even KErnkraft...Silence(Tiesto/Airscape/Oakenfold ix) on the other hand..I love it and I am sure most other guys do.
Regarding exposure to trance...one retarded statement or the amount of posts I have posted bear no reflection of what I know .
As it has been said earlier ..classification of songs under genres could be something on a more personal level..since it differs with everyone' s tastes.

come to detroit and you will be assaulted with techno! kevin saunderson, juan atkins, mistress barbara, among many, many others. its just another form of electronic music more akin to industrial house music than trance. very little melody, if any, banging beats and little if any variation over a track. apparently people cant get enough of it here(detroit) but i certainly can after just several hours. there are other TAs that could tell you more about it tho, cause they dig it and therefore could give you a better definition prolly...late/

ok im gonna offend the fuck through everyone but whats wrong with kernkraft i hated it at first but its a bit of an anthem...
and as for darude... well i just got my ps yesterday and i was driving fast along the coast when 'out of control' came on the radio needless to say i shook my head several times, but you gotta give respect where its due and sandstorm brought people to this kind of music if it wasnt politically (in the trance sense of it) correct. and hey i enjoyed the song a fair bit too at first (AT FIRST )
