NVIDIA next gen

I thought I'd post this up in the gaming forum instead of COR for once...

I'm thinking of picking up a 6800GT, but I won't if the next generation of cards are near. When were these cards originally released? When is the 7x generation (assuming that's the naming scheme) due out?

nVidia doesn't plan on releasing any new GPU's till the end of the year. Then you have to take into account any delays, availablity, etc.

Go with the 6800GT.

Best one I found is 600CAD flat for an eVGA 6800GT and an NV5 Silencer. (this is including taxes, shipping, and insurance, blablabla).

And if I may say so; BFG and Leadtek are the best Geforce manufacturers at the moment. BFG is the best. Their cards are overclocked out of the box, and come with a life-time warranty. I wish their cards were available in PCI-E
