Morning all *yawn*

bit of a quiet morning at work (woohoo) which doesnt happen to often, finally its calmed down after the madness at chrimbo.

Anyway, most of you know me as a dance music person, various styles, Trance, Techno, Hardcore, Gabber, House...but I do happen to love a bit of Indie and Rock and I wanted some recommendations as I am not that clued up.

Kasabian's album is just frigging amazing. I heard a reknowned DJ helps to "remix" all the tracks in their album..

Get some RHCP in there, they're probably the only good rock band you'll like, looking at that list.

Check that album out! Very unique. Mix of rock/jazz/soul/hip-hop. Very experimental.

Check out both albums by Brand New, particularly Deja Entendu.

Also, both albums from Taking Back Sunday are excellent.

Story of the Year and Yellowcard are also amazing.

Emo alert! Taking Back Sunday is garbage, Yellowcard is from my hometown and they used to be nice back in 99-00 then the line up changed. Story of The Year is terrible too.

Brand New is a good band though. Like their stuff alot.

Pearl Jam - No Code (1996) - Could be their best
Pearl Jam - Yield (1998) - This is my favorite though
Soundgarden - Down on the Upside (1996) - Some great singles from this one
Foo Fighters (DG is kinda from the Pacific Northwest) - Colour and the Shape (1997) - The best Foo album

Didn't think i'd get flamed so much :P

Brand New is my favorite band, and I doubt you could call them emo, the first record maybe, but Deja Entendu was really one of the best rock albums i've listened to in quite some time.

Taking Back Sunday is a good band too, I also wouldn't call them emo.

IMO the only band out of those four that could be classified as emo is perhaps story of the year. But, for the most part I would classify them with the exception of brand new, as pop rock. Emo is more like straylight run, or something corporate.
