Breaks...REAL Breaks

Does anyone here like oldschool breaks? I guess like a precursor to hip-hop, like disco or soul breaks? Do any of you know what i mean?

I love "old school breaks" but it depends on your definition of old school. 93-97ish than Im game ...prior to that Im clueless

Im mostly into the old school hip hop stuff like from Afrika Bambaatta and the soulsonic force for example . And new stuff from baby anne and Icey.

if you listen to the first 5 records you'll be able to account for nearly half of all hip-hop samples used from 1986-1991.

yeah and if you listen to a select number of songs from any era past 2k the same can be said...

and i bet the people that made dance tunes before 1986 could make similar claims, ie most samples were pulled from 70s or earlier tunes - and in general MUCH earlier|
