Trance in Toronto!!!

i was getting nervous through december because other then tiesto no good trance djs were coming to torotno (no need to start a tiesto war thread ) but now we've got kai tracid, matt hardwick, dumonde, blank & jones, and armin van buuren all lined up to come!!! (i don't know if i'm missing anyone) so its just good to see a lot of good trance talent coming to Toronto and that we still have a big scene here as so many ppl are leaning into prog and tech house and stuff like that these days.

i saw johan gielen last june at docks, and again in august in cancun!!! both times he killed it, i love that guy, so into his sets and plays great stuff...i'd totally like to see him again!

and yeh, marco v of course! his set was fuckin sweet in july, but i personally thought it sucked shit in september, so i hope he delivers the goods this time! out of the 3 times i've seen him, he was awesome 2/3, so still a great dj in my books, everyone has there nites i guess.

Im glad to hear that others effing appreciate this guy! His #2 in my books, only surpassed by my love for Armin!

Thats whut I love so much about Johan is how he just gets RIGHT into his sets... so enthused... he adds so much fuckn energy to the room just seeing how much he's lovin' it and moving behind the decks (did anyone LOVE that noise he kept repeating at WEMF... *ping* *ping* *ping* <--- i forget the "type" of noise exactly, but he'd keep pressing the button on the deck for it and the crowd was LOOSING it when he did! He was just toying wiht us... it was so blood amazing! That guy creates MAD ENERGY in his sets, u hafta luv it!

Yup, u gotta love the trance he drops too... I heard his Aug. mix and he can really mix it up too...it was a different sound that i was expecting. I just WISH to the high heavens that I could attend him @ Republik in Feb. but I dont think ill be able to FUck do i ever suck!

Oh well, the next time, I PROMISE, ill be there front row, SHOUTING out his name for all to hear!

^ the story with seeing johan gielen in cancun, was we had or flight booked for the saturday morning in august. completely randomly i check the website for the club "the city" in cancun (which is off the hook btw) and i see his name. i just about lost it, because i'm thinking, omg, i'm going on vacation and get to hear one of my favorite trance djs to WIN WIN!!! i've never been on a plane in my life til then...and of course our flight got cancelled til later that day, we didn't even get to cancun til like 930pm. we got to the hotel around 10-1030ish. and regardless of me being so excited about the atmosphere of cancun and getting into an awesome hotel, we just dropped our bags and within minutes of checkin we were at the club. Without a doubt a memorable nite!
