Alan-M - Intermittent - Listen and I'll give you free sex!!

Alan-M - Intermittent - download
Total Time: 5min 26sec
Bitrate: 192kbps

did you listen? - here's your free sex

I did a more "DJ Friendly" mix of it if anyone is interested:

http://myslu.stlawu.edu/~almarc04/A...tended_Mix).mp3

I lost most of the original .wav forms becuase of a recent hard drive index error. So all I could really do was throw on some percs at the end since I still had those.

The track SUCKS..but

THE FREE SEX IS THE BEST SEX I EVER HAD, OMG FANTASTIC THANK YOU!

(review tomorrow)

Posted by cybernetica on Jan-19-2005 00:26:

thanks for the sex
your track however turns me on much more... the bassline is nice n sharp, the pads are crystal clear... instantly fell in love with that opera singer/choir in the background and that piano part is genius, must listen to it again and again. Mastering as always top notch. Cant get much better than that!

Posted by midaV on Jan-19-2005 01:55:

Listening as I review...

Nice intro..

Cool fx going..

Bass seems a bit too hidden and needs to be imaged a bit to the center..

Piano kicked in... snare is a bit loud.. flooding the piano's feel!

Told you before the melody is aritee but coulda been better ... something dark would match the percussion and atmosphere youve created much more..

Piano sub melody is cool... nice flow to it.. maybe you can cut the high freq. on it or lower it a bit..

Other then that nice mixing/mastering cool track!

I want free sex so I gave the song a listen, simply orgasmic

Posted by nytrox on Jan-20-2005 14:07:

WHOW! Good sex with good music - what else do I need? BTW: which one of the nice blond babes is you?

Posted by DJ Dinz on Jan-20-2005 17:39:

Dont want the sex.. cause he is a dude

The Music..
1st of all love the mixdown & mastering...
Dont really like breakdown.. lack of FX
The Inst *i think is BRass/something* come in 00:57.. love it!
The Main Melody is "Heavenly!"
The Track is too simple

IMO... The Main Melody can be more driving *i mean not changing the chords* the build up... maybe something like "yoji biomehanika - Banging Globe" the Main Lead is HEAVENLY....

But overall is a nice track!

Posted by Nomen Nescio on Jan-20-2005 20:43:

Good track, great sound! I agree though with what Dj Dinz says, the melody lacks punch. Maybe a nice effect to fatten the lead would do the trick.

The overall atmosphere in the track is really nice, the track is very well balanced. So my compliments for that.

In the beginning of the track you introduce a riff (an arpegiattor I guess) which sounds a bit flat, perhaps a nice full reverb on it would do great.

Overall good work!

Keep it up!

This thread is great, lol... ur a musical genius, only if Beethoven thought of this idea

Posted by RiCo on Jan-22-2005 14:41:

Hey Alan, I liked the song a lot. It was simple and pretty but I like simple things. I left it downloading and went to bed...and while I was having these weird dreams involving hot girls and being at various clubs, some weird song was playing in the dreams. When I finally woke up, this song was playing in my PC, LOL. I didn't remember which song it was as I left downloading another one...but I said: "I bet it's alanzo's song." And I was right, hehe, all your songs have something in common...I guess your style is obvious in all of them.

Posted by alanzo on Jan-22-2005 18:48:

heh.. funny story..

yeah, i try to get my own unique style.. hard kick.. heavily compressed bass (not like in this one) and a damn good melody (something that lacks emmensly in trance these days)

thanks for the comments

Posted by EtherealSL on Jan-22-2005 19:41:

piano is very cool, but i'm not feeling that generic saw lead (too overdone in a lot of songs, sounds a little unoriginal)

most other elements of the song sound fine

free sex was horrible, i hate you please die

Posted by 2)Ser on Jan-24-2005 04:51:

it all sounded nice. i think the only part that didnt flow right was the breakbeat part. the kick didnt have the flow with the song, maybe too much break in between some of the kicks. otherwise it was very nice to the ears. ejoyed.

Peace.

I'm sorry, but I just found this too appalling to ignore. Beethoven's music as well as most classical compositions are infinitely more complex and musical than any electronic dance music. End of story. There is no debate. If Beethoven were alive, he would punch you in the face and then take a shit on you.

As for this track, I greatly enjoy the percussion. I think the riffs before the build are a bit cheesey. The build is totally a tease! Although I'm really not a huge trance fan anymore, I thought that this track really accomplished what trance is supposed to be: interesting, well produced, and dance-able.

Posted by Jay M on Jan-26-2005 13:38:

Hey I noticed I havent reviewed this proper yet. That this is my second reply does not mean tho I want your free sex for the second time.

Nice start with a good kick and percussion.
Bass is a bit too wet and needs more clarity.
Synth coming is pretty cheesy. Altogether it's a bit of a blur.
Piano is cut from a lot of sides, makes it ugly imo.
Melody coming in break: Du Fromage, not really my style. I think a breakbeat doesn't really fit this style, but that's taste i gues..

Mainpart now. The basic elements are there, but it doesn't grab me at all. Eq needs some work as well. A lot of things are interfering with each other.

I hope the next is better..
-Jay

ps: jeez dude stop being Mister Bump.

Posted by alanzo on Jan-26-2005 23:23:

I'm working on that Beethoven thing. Preferrably Bach, though

I'm going to try my hands at a piano piece (only piano) this weekend if I find a few hours to myself.

Posted by djdustx on Jan-27-2005 20:46:

if u can create more of these type of tracks

i'd prefer u stick at being Alanzo
