-- aaaah, wet
aaaah, wet
what a way to wake up.
6am, gushing water everyfuckingwhere aaaah
half the house has flooded, from what i can tell (without being a plumber) its a burst pipe in the loft. water gushing out of light switches and everythin....
bastards.
not sure what the point of this is, i just need to vent my stress

bummer, much damage done?
save your records man
so u have water coming through ur light switches and im guessing ur plug sockets too but u were on ur computer
lol, but anyway that sucks jeffrey i dont have a clue wot id do if that happened to me, tho i live in an upper masionette so it would prob drip down to the wenches downstairs
.... wait a min i think that did happen!
lack of pipe insulation situation it sounds like. water freezes, expands, pipe cracks, water unfreezes, rushes out
If it's leaking through the light fittings, that's some heavy repair costs you've got to look forward to. And turn of your electric lol.
it was only lights downstairs that are affected, so the fuse box can isolate that and allow me to play with decks and computer
the damage could have been worse, it was actualy an isolation valve for the shower that went.. bloody good job we had all them towels in the airing cupboard otherwise there would be loads more water downstairs.
we need:
- new carpets in dining room, toilet, hallway, landing and possibly the other bedroom (unless the ******s can clean them)
- re-plastering of the cieling in dining room
- french polishers for table and mums piano, plus a piano repair man as the thing is full of water
- new mobile phone for my dad
- new digital camera for my mum
- re-decorating in dining room and toilet
we still haven't turned on the downstairs lights so whether or not we need an electrician is yet to be seen.. the plumber thought it would alright though.. its a good job it wasn't the main header tank, otherwise my decks would have been for it.
nasty mate, thats a horrible way to wake up
Shitty way to get up. BTW you sure your decks/records weren't damaged *wink*wink*. Hehehehe probebly wouldn't work actually but it would be fun if the insurance guys payed out.

Are you adequately insured?
yeah everything is insured thank god. i was thinking about sticking some of my old records that i am going to sell in an affected area and lobbing a bucket of water on them, but it looks a bit suspect having records out of place like that
