what the hell is wrong with people these days???

so i was at world vision today working in their mailroom processing donations for tsunami relief...

some PSYCHOPATH woman sends us our own info letter back with some comments that went something like this...

"world vision should be distributing birth control to these people, our world is already overpopulated. the earth can only support 10% of the current population. when world vision agrees to spay and newter 9/10 people, i will gladly support them."

this is not a direct quote, but its the gist of it.... WTF is this lady on?!? i was so angry when i read this... its so arrogant and RACIST.... if you're going to suggest something like that, at least use the word STERILIZE. spaying and neutering is for animals, for fucks sake. and since she's such a brilliant ecologist, possibly on the level of david suzuki, you'd think she could spell neuter properly.

yes, i agree the world is overpopulated, but its not the time to make light of the fact. who the fuck is she anyways to look down on people who are suffering so bad? has she NEVER experienced anything in the least bit devastating? maybe she's had such ahard life in canada that she feels bitterness and resentment towards people who are getting the help they need.

on second thought, i agree with her plan... lets start spaying and neutering, starting with HER.... what a dumbass... i have a policy against hitting women, but i'd definitely make an exception for her. she needs a punch in the face and a kick in the ovaries so that she doesn't taint the gene pool with her idiocy. she's no better than hitler in my books.... maybe a bit better... but not by much....

oh yeah, we got another one too that said:
"HELP CANADA FIRST. FUCK YOU, GREEDY BASTARDS!"

the hell is that all about? if you don't want to donate, don't. no one needs this dumbass shit.

I think you rolled outta the WRONG side of the bed today Chris - but I do agree that she is a biatch, but there are so many people in this world that we will NEVER get a long with and it is up to those "picky" people to be able to filter out the bad and keep tot he new.

the thing that pisses me off is just the ARROGANCE and IGNORANCE.... so damn racist!!!

basically she implies that:
a) tsunamis are good for controlling the population inferior peoples.
b) that this was somehow their fault for being too numerous.
c) south asians are animals.

if it was up to her, and the population was reduced to 600 million people, you can bet our friend here would create a planet of rich white folks.

the hell is SHE doing to control the population? besides being a bitch and scaring away potential mates.... i'd like to track her down and ask if she got HER damn tubes tied...

these types of people aren't even worth the time or attention on a messageboard..

the birth rate is always going to be high in areas where the death rate is high.. families will tend to procreate if there's a high probability that their offspring could die early after birth.

in case she didn't know, planned parenting programs are already underway in overpopulated countries such as India. China has also already taken aggressive steps to control their population growth through fiscal policies for large families.

more than 50% of Canadians actually donated to the tsunami relief effort, so it's safe to say that people with her attitude are a minority in this country.

if she provided no return address then i highly doubt that she feels inclined in any way to enlighten herself from ignorance.

Today I was walking down the street, talking on my cell phone (not loud or obnoxiously at all) and some woman who was quite a bit ahead of me started yelling at me, "I don't want to hear you fucking talking on your phone in my ear". I actually got into a verbal fight with this woman over this. I couldn't believe it!

Although i agree that shes being insensitive i didnt see anything in there that suggest that she thinks that a specific race should be "spayed". She did however use the word "people" and even though im no english major i believe "people" refers to all races. I dont know if she had racist intentions in mind but its not good to automatically assume this based on the grammar of this letter. All too many people jump the gun on racism and read into stuff like this and that actually hurts situations where racism clearly is at play.

Think before you accuse. This woman is scum but is she racist?

I further add. You have assumed that she is white based on your interpretation of her letter. Is that not in fact racist in itself?

again, i must point out that that was NOT a direct quote as i'm not allowed to take documents home from work.... but from reading the original comments, i can assure you most people would sense, from her tone, that she is pointing the finger at others rather than people as a whole. i do believe she used the term "them" once or twice...

yes... i did make some assumptions, perhaps i am wrong for doing that, now that i've cooled off a bit. but her last name was definitely not foreign, and she lived in some small town in BC.... so all signs point to white... but then again, i can assume nothing.

Agreed. I find people these days are a lot less tolerant of others than they used to be. I've had people tell me to turn down the music i was listening to through my headphones because it was bothering them. When i got home i checked how loud it really was by turning the volume up to the maximum and getting my brother to wear the headphones and it was NOTHING! I could barely hear it!
I don't understand what's happening. Who cares if you're talking on the phone? Or listening to your music through a headset of all things? I hear people talk on the phone or listening to their music all the time, i don't bitch at them! Unless the person is screaming in my ear or has their personal stereo sitting on their lap with the volume maxed out then i won't say a thing.
Another thing that pisses me off (and i'm sure i'll be getting comments for this one) is when i'm smoking a cigarette outside, i'm already freezing my ass off so as not to go against the law and annoy the poor non-smokers, but do they really have to get in my face and cough as if my smoke is annoying them?! Please! I don't force them to walk next to me or stand in front of me. I'm on the street! There's plenty of room everywhere else.

That lady was incredibly rude and ignorant. I guess some people are bitter for some reason. Maybe the guy who wrote about spending the money on Canada is having problems, maybe he's part of the less fortunate in this country and is bitter because of that... who knows. He could be a rich bastard too. It's true people shouldn't have that type of reaction. If you don't want to help, nobody is forcing you to. If you do, good on ya. No need to write letters like that, it just shows the world how low you really are.

I use the word "them" all the time. I guess I must be racist? "Them" or "those people" usually means those who are not yourself. "Those people over there are staring at me". I cant stand people who read into things just because someone used the words "them" or "those people". From what you posted it seems to me that she thinks the whole planet is overpopulated regardless of race. She may be or may not be racist but there is no way you can infer this from the information she has provided.

All signs point to white? First i have several problems with this. Small towns in BC have many many blacks and asians. Also many asians take on "english names" especially the more established ones in BC.

Second what if i were to take the exact same statement but insert the word black and insert the word scarborough instead? Id have people like you on my ass in an instant calling me a racist.

Her comments are inhumane there is no doubt about it. But calling her racist and then inserting your own racist undertones makes the situation even worse. It's a shame how "those people" like yourself cloud the real issue of racism with assumptions and half truths as well as double standards like the ones i just pointed out.

Please check yourself in the racism mirror first before going and making accusations which could end up being false.

I've had the same prob with the headphones. IMO my music was never even loud enough (the bus noise totally drowned it out). Neways....the last one to ever do that crap to me got an earful....this bus driver yelled to the back of the bus....where I was....and said to lower it or shut it off. I told him that it's a headset and it's in my ear and not in his...and who the hell do u think you are...u have some serious psychological problem if this bothers you...u should just do us all a favour and leave this job so that the good bus drivers can have it. When he got up to threaten me using intimidating body language...I said if you so much as touch me, then I'll file charges and u'll have to explain it to TTC when I file against them too...so why don't you just go do your job and drive without the attitude.
If you got a problem with that I'll gladly call the police and TTC for you. Well he STFU after that.

Re the coughing when they are near you. Actually I cough too. But I cough bc it really does bother me...and I'm always embarrassed about it....I don't like ppl thinking that I do it intentionally. Just something for you to think about when you think ppl cough near you on purpose.

Re the women who sent that notice about those ppl....the racial intention was directly made....those ppl were not in USA or Canada...they were in india...asia..etc. Implied and intended. You can't change that fact. That women is just a miserable and grumpy person and I agree that we should not give them any time on this board.

hahahah i quite a similar experience a few years ago...i guess the driver and the rest of the 10 people in the bus thought i was some retard cos i was listening to psy trance
