Good Book on Production / Sequencers
I know there are books out there for Cubase, Reason, Fruit Loops, and I'm sure a ton of other sequencers, but what I'm wondering is has anyone here read any of them and actually gotten something out of it? Basically I'm looking to get that teachs you how to use this program to the max, and how to get certain sounds out of it. Of course, you could read the manual, but generally that is just an overview or pretty bland.
Besides that, are there any good books on the use of VSTs, or Electronica production in general? Any tips for percussion, basslines, that type of stuff. I know you can learn alot of this yourself, but I am really looking to get some good books to build a good foundation to work off of.
Thanks in advance for any recomendations anyone has.

this may be wat u looking for
I have also read Sonar 3 Power! (for cakewalks sequencer) and found the same. It was a good, easy read but i knew most of it anyways. There are some 3rd party books for VSTi's in general and I swear i've seen a book on Abysnth & other native instrument VST's in Guitar Center.
here is a broad 3rd party:

Try searching here? I saw several posts covering this.
Here are some suggestions for cubase:
Mixing and Mastering Cubase SX (a bible!)
Books by Paul White

I also picked up a set of books in GC called something like "Recording Musician's Survival Kit" - it is a set of 5 or 6 books (each about 200 pages or so) covering various aspects of home recording. This is published by Sound-on-Sound (respectable british recording mag). The books cover things like MIDI, Studio setup, Percussion, HD Recording, etc. I can't remember all now. The volume lists for $150 but I think you can probably find it cheaper online or haggle GC sales dude down. I paid $75 for mine.
Edit:
Another great find:
Dance oriented production book
Remixing book
Yes, the dance music manual that the guy above suggested is a great book. It's helped me alot...
