How to uninstall IE??

I'm finally using firefox after all these years cause my IE stopped functioning from it main purpose. Surfing the web.

I went to the remove programs section and went to the windows components to remove IE but the program is still there. Furthermore, there is a stupid pop up in my system that uses IE to pop out even though IE isnt functioning,very irritating..Get it??

1 more thing, how do i use a download accelarator with firefox.

The thing is.. my IE is TOTALLY screwed.

No webpage shows up on it when I obviously have an internet connection.

I've tried putting everything to default and still it doesnt work.And no, i dont have a firewall. I dont know whats wrong.

HERES HOW UNISTALL IE

Control panel, Add remove programs, to the left you'll see add remove windows componants, go into that, then check IE and press next

have u tried resetting all IE settings to default to get a page to load ?

Lol it does work ive removed IE loads of times by that method

Sorry explained it wrong DO NOT CHECK THE BOX FOR IE

Leave the box unchecked next to IE and then press next then it will unistall

Sorry for mixup but now it will defo work

Reinstall IE and just don't use it. Easiest solution. Use Mozilla or Firefox instead. I got all 3 on this computer. Using IE at the moment, but sometimes choose another surfer. Depends on my BAC.
