Am I the only one who dislikes the Henry Fonda?

I now specifically avoid events there. And it makes me sad when Armin is coming to town, and he is playing there...

I do not enjoy events there. It has a dirty feeling, and for some reason I just do not enjoy myself. The music does not sound as good. The place is dirty, and the crowd usually isn't too great.

I really prefer Avalon and Circus over Henry Fonda.

I wrote an email to Godskitchen telling them some of the fans might prefer for them to get to a higher class venue, but no responce. =)

I just saw Digweed at Ruby Sky and really enjoyed that club. We need more higher class places like that in LA!

Am I alone?

i just dont think the scene is strong enough for someone like godskitchen to move to a better venue, avalon has it cause they get the trendy crowds.

I don't like HFT either.. I only go when there's a really good DJ I wanna see. I've seen a couple of EDM acts at The Highlands, and I must say that Highlands is a much better, nicer, fancier, trendier, venue then HFT. The capacity is about the same too... They should really consider it!

henry fonda is no circus or avalon that is for sure.
its not a bad venue and has a good amount of potential to be quite good. the roof deck/patio is 100% tits and if they could put some house up there that would be super. other wise its a wasted space for us smokers. i really dont think it feels 'dirty' compared to any other venue.

yo justin ma man....enjoying the 2 promos u gave me!!! and i too hate the HFT....i get that dirty feeling as well...like somethign just aint right! i LOVE Avalon and the sound system even the crowd, the best lookin women i think! but when its a DJ that i like...im forced to go there....i guess u cant have ur cake and eat it to huh?

i dont think HFT is all that great...but keep in mind i've only been there and Avalon. fuckin Avalon spoils us man...so far every time i go out its like "this is nice...but you know? its not avalon"

Before Avalon was Avalon it was the Palace and we all know how that place was! (Dirtry venue, Shiity sound, cracked out people...) But 3 million can do a lot to a place.

The HFT is not the best venue in the world.. but it is not the worst. Take for instance the O, Q... There are far worse venues out there imo..

Yes... GK need to put a little more effort into production. ie lights, decortions.. make it look like you are not walking or dancing in an old theater. I like the outside smokeing patio. If they had a Dj up there that would be ideal. It would be awesome to have 3 areas of music to go too just in case the main room and the smaller side room are not doing it for you. Besides people like haveing places to go diffent things to do. It would be also nice if they changed the DJ booth up a little. The swinging wood thing needs to be decorated or something.

The Sound system is also not the best.. ok sometimes it really sucks! And it dosn't beat the Avalon sound system by a long shot but some times my ears ring for days after a night at Avalon and sometimes the Sound is really good at HFT. Last time I heard a new sound system was going to be palaced in too HFT.. But saying things and seeing them actully happen can be compleatly differnt...

Now I do not have a problem with The Crowd or vide at the HFT. I think the people that go there is better then the majorty of the Avlon crowd. At avalon is the "hollywoody" show off what I gots... Yes there is a lot of yummy eye candy running around but I don't go to a club to check people out..

There has been Freaken amazing nights at GK ie Armin and Markus night! (still can not get how awesome that night was) Ferry, Eddie.. and there has been awesome nights at Avalon too...
So it all depends on a lot of things. But you make your night they way you want to make it...

I would like to throw my two cents in as I recently got a chance to go to both Avalon and HFT in 1 weekend. I'm really confused as to how people can hate one venue and love the other when the same layout is used in both places. Also I really found that the sound system in HFT is much cleaner than any sound system I've ever heard. I got out of the club after 4 hours and my ears were not ringing from being pounded like they were at Avalon. I have to qualify this by saying there is a difference between clean sound and loud sounds and clean sounds are much better on the ears than loud sounds. Distortion, too much highs, and too high of decibals can really damage the eardrums, let alone just make the overall sound inside the club bad. Some clubs I can't enjoy the music because the sound system is just on too high, you don't have to boost the levels to get people dancing.

I also found that the crowd at both venues seems to be the same, there really isn't a difference between the two. In fact I saw the same people at both clubs in consecutive nights.

I know that someone is going to say that Avalon is a much bigger place than HFT and so there's no comparison, but when I went the place was overcrowded, you couldn't even move in the place and it felt exactly the same as HFT, overcrowded and no room to move. I'm sorry but I like a little space when I try to dance.

I really have to throw my vote for the best club in LA to Circus. I still haven't been to another club anywhere that has done as good a job with layout, lighting, vibe....anything for that matter. If you want to use a club as an example to follow, I really feel the discussion should start and finish with Circus, and especially now that Spundae has decided to split from GK and do their own event again.

I do have to agree with Dragon on the fact that LA needs another high class venue and I would love for one of the larger promotion companies to stop just taking in money and spending it on their marketing campaigns and maybe put it into developing a new venue that really could compete with Circus in size, space, lighting, and fun.

But that's just a dream of silly EDM fan!

Well now you guys won't have to be going to HFT that much (if you don't want) since GK is only going to be once a month at the end of January.

It's gonna be all about CIRCUS and Avalon.

awww man.....GK is only gona be once a month??? do u know this for a fact? i thought it was going to be every saturday.....well atleast now that its once a month they will have to bring a good Dj everytime......

HFT actually just got a brand new sound system. The same system the Mayan has in LA. And there are some good things said about it!

yeah i heard about the new things they added...thats the only reason im dissapointed about this once a month deal.
