For the people who attend york:
Could someone tell me what the hell I just witnessed in VHall today?
I just walked in, a group of people were protesting something? (as usual)
Cops standing on the side? I thought they were there to keep things calm...
Anyways, just walking by I turned my head around and I think I saw someone take a shot at one of the cops and 3 cops just got him down and started.. well.. yeah, brutal. A couple of people goto arrested..
Does anybody know more info about this insanity?

Unfortunately, that's not the first time a protest gets out of hand at York.
I just finished from there last year, have seen a few protests but nothing outright in terms of physical fights.
Hahaha, protesters are hilarious. They probably got whatever was coming to them.
maybe they were protesting the Dubya swearing in ..

Some dude was yelling into a megaphone and people were protesting and I heard it was over not getting paid enough for student jobs on campus or some shit to that nature and people were getting arrested
York may be the worst university in Canada.
It's held hostage by an unholy alliance of commie unions and Muslim fundies.
I'll never forget how they used their terroist tactics to booby-trap the grounds during the strike of 2000/2001.
It's outrageous that a mere GA union could have wielded so much power. Mike Harris pussied out; he should have sent in the OPP to clear all the scum out.

By all accounts, it was so much easier when all the Brits and Aussies came over here and everybody just fit in. At least that was a Canada that had an identity and one I'd fight for. Now "we" dont' know what we are anymore. In the coming generations (it might take awhile), there is going to be some serious racial revolutions in the west. I can honestly see massive deportations, racial violence on an unprecedented scale. You'd be surprised how many people keep very strong feelings buried within. One day it'll all come out. Hopefully I'm not here.

Take the free palestine or free isreal bullshit to the middle east please. It's OK to have opinions but hatred and violence does not belong here.
Again protesting is OK as long as it's peaceful but here is an idea. Why not protest about things that actually affect your daily life IN CANADA?
