Crunchy Punch - Innersphere

Haven't heard those you mention, but you might wanna check out the album Lime Structure (2003) by Vibrasphere. Nice chilled psy. It's worth it!

(they are Swedish btw )

mmm I havent heard of the songs you mentioned but if there is one song you should check out its

Shulman - Instability Those vocals...mmmmm

...actually anything by Shulman is pretty damn amazing... their cd's are beyond this world... almost better than shpongle.

I'd post an extensive list of tracks to get, but im too tired

While their stuff sounds very pleasant and well produced, you might as well go listen to Shpongle. The resemblance is so obvious it isn't funny in the slightest.

I don't care. The more the better for me. I'm glad they have a style similar to Shpongle. I wish more people had a style similar to Shpongle. That way I could listen to more than what little only Shpongle wants to release.

Some albums to check out:

Galaxy - Angel
VA - Life Is..
Saafi Brothers - Mystic Cigarettes
Mystery Of The Yeti - The Mystery Of The Yeti
Gabriel Le Mar vs Cylancer - Nightradio

Fair enough, just don't expect people to give them much credit creatively speaking.

mmm actually I dont think they're similar. Yes they're both psy ambient, but I can instantly tell if the song's been produced by Shpongle or Entheogenic. Its not like todays trance...

thanks so far guys

Starting my way at the 1st/2nd reply tracks & gonna work my way down.. Do places such as psyshop.com sell good compilations in this style ? Love listening to it when relaxing, helps me totally chill out

Of course, that's why you can easily tell where Entheogenic got their ideas from.

True, but that has nothing to do with this arguement.

Psyshop has the compilation I mentioned, at least. I got it from there fairly recently.

www.chaosunlimited.co.uk and www.amboworld.com are both UK based vendors of this music (and psy trance too in the case of the former)

does the ambient mix of 'stars' count as psy?

Posted by Radagast on Jan-21-2005 00:13:

Also, check out OEM radio: http://www.oemradio.org/

"Original Electronic Music" sure...but i'd say more than half of it is ambient psy. It's where ISHQ got their start.

Lots of good stuff has already been mentioned, but I'd like to add Astralasia as well, one of the pioneers of psy-ambient. Especially the "Whatever Happened To Utopia?" album, excellent stuff. Astralasia is behind the "Sargasso Sea" version of Salt Tank's Eugina btw.

Most of the fahrenheit projects are pretty good.

The whole lime structure album is awsome! Although I wouldn`t consider it as chilled psy trance. It`s progressive! Great album regardless, check out stuff from ott and the goa beach compilations btw.

Gargoyles (ott + simon posford) - Spacebaby (Seiberg & Witten Mix)

No, that's hard techno.

I'm gonna check out that Mystery Of The Yeti album, just the name sounds interesting.

EDIT: Didn't know Infinity Project/MOTY included Simon Posford.
