Dude, these aren't likeley cartoons to be compared to. They each appeal to totally different audiences. A lot of people watch both, but the logic behind both cartoon is different.

A better comparison would be Family Guy and the Simpsons.

these are the 2 of my fave shows ever.Ill vote for the Simpsons just cause Ive enjoyed it for a longer time,so many funny episodes ,I know alot of shows by memory as well.

I liked the South Park episode where Butters was trying to come up with ways of destroying South Park and his sidekick kept pointing out that all of his schemes were already done on The Simpsons so it was a compliment to The Simpsons on how they have been so creative over the years

I give the slight edge to South Park personally but both are awesome in every way imaginable and have been consistantly creative and up to date with current events over the years South Park is just too funny but The Simpsons is still very funny as well.

Why has there not been a Simpsons movie yet

Simpsons is by far superior. South park is funny but i lost interest after the first series. Simspons is like a drug, i cant stop watching it.

the simpsons has gotten old. Even the creators realized that the show had exhausted itself and started a bunch of side projects (futurama etc). Besides any show that shares a channel with "When Animals Attack" "Fear Factor" "The Nanny" and boasts the "Fox" insignia automatically sucks.
"FORGET ABOU THE GALGAMECKS?!?!"
PS. "Cops" almost makes upfor those all those crap shows though.

I used to like South Park quite a lot, but I got a bit tired of it in the end.

The Simpsons has lasted better with me, even though I think it's past it's best. Phil Hartman getting killed didn't help, no more Lionel Hutz or Troy McClure.

I think that 5-10 years from now things will be much different and South Park will have the same longevity as The Simpsons and be able to be just as creative if not more so but The Simpsons is still the king due to longevity. The things they come up with on South Park blow my mind and South Park just makes me laugh more and is more entertaining in my opinion
