Nick Warren is doing another GU

Yup, that's official, Hope is already asking for submissions for his next compilation but what I'm unsure about is GU027 or will it be another 24.7 volume or something totally different. Anyone know anything about that? It is for sure that Warren is doing another GU because I doubt Hope would ask people for submissions.

I thought Danny Howells and Pig & Dan were doing the next two Global Underground albums: Kazakhastan and Miami...?

Hopefully we'll get some coverage on that one from Borat.

Posted by fitom tiel on Jan-21-2005 18:59:

so it's official, based on your assumption?

Posted by tribu on Jan-21-2005 19:03:

It should be a good project regardless of how its packaged

Posted by infinity HiGH on Jan-21-2005 19:41:

I'm curious to know where it's been CONFIRMED that Nick Warren is doing another GU.

And Warren won't do a Nubreed, I don't think I have to explain why. Plus, they already got somebody for the next Nubreed...

Prototype is Fontaine's series (like Involver is Sasha's). 24:7 is the only one left...but but I think it's all bullshit. At least for now.

The next Global Underground (027) is Danny Howells: Miami, out at the end of March.

Nick Warren is indeed doing another album for Global Underground as well, though whether its for the main series of one of the offshoots has yet to be announced. As for where it was confirmed, well TT shouldnt really have created this thread as the annoucement was sent specifically to announce it and start submissions for it rolling, in other words not for public consumption.

nice news to me, both the nick warren and the pig & dan mixes, if it's true

Posted by wolverine16 on Jan-21-2005 20:34:

This is great news! Very surprised since the cover from last one he did stated he wasn't going to release any further GUs.

Someone obviously started the Pig & Dan one as as pisstake, as theres no way thats true.

How the hell was it supposed to be l33t news? How the hell was it supposed to be only for certain people consumption. Hell it would have been told to others anyway and yes Nick Warren is doing a GU and if the cat was'nt out the bag from this email, then I don't know what is.

Posted by [B-O-F-H] on Jan-22-2005 02:29:

The email was intended purely for the attention of labels and artists, and anyone related to such things. I suppose its easy to get overexcited though, and its an easy mistake to make. Having access to priviledged information is something that should be treated with respect though.

Posted by torontotrance on Jan-22-2005 02:34:

I was'nt the first to post this on a bull. board and the contact never said, do not post on any site. I treat it with respect, so go bother someone else.

Awww, how will Global Underground remain underground with you running around disclosing all of their secret underground information torontotrance?

Posted by [B-O-F-H] on Jan-22-2005 02:38:

You shouldnt need to be told. You do however get your knickers in a twist rather easily when someone pulls you up on something. Was merely some friendly advice. Nothing more, nothing less.

oh great...another nick warren gu snorefest. by far of all the gu artists nick warren is the worst.

but as long as your excited about crap music, original poster, enjoy.

let's see a james zabiela, or holden gu. nick warren is old and tired

A Holden GU would be hot, something along the lines of Balance 005... besides, I don't know if Warren can improve on Reykjavek.

I'm sorry. My "pisstake." It's Pako & Fredrik: Kazakhstan. Sorry for the miscommunication. I knew it was a "duo" doing a Global Underground album; for some reason, I thought it was Pig & Dan. Sorry.
