By the looks of her, I say she runs on Russian rocket fuel.

I really, really like the front 2/3's but that rear-end is going to have to grow on me.

Niiice

Im not sure if I like the idea of the cars exterior being a mirror.

Posted by e*motion on Jan-24-2005 00:15:

looks very dangerous

Looks pretty gratuitous to me. Way too shiny and bling for me. No class. Just IMHO.

1. it's illegal to drive a car on an airstrip
2. How is anyone supposed to drive next to a rolling peice of chrome. It's like driving with a car in your passenger seat with its high beams in your face.

Posted by teegee on Jan-24-2005 01:33:

the tailights look incredibly stupid i think.. if the car does indeed go into production, i bet at least 50% will be different.

ford badges are a little weird too, if it's solely a shelby.

Posted by wwu.punisher on Jan-24-2005 02:08:

Upon release, the car is not going to be chromed like that. It was done for the show model, only.

And that car is a beast.

looks to me like someone accidentially dropped their penis into a chroming vat.

If you wanna call this a knockoff of the Vanquish, then I'll call the Vanquish a knockoff of the original Daytona Coupe in which this car is based on. The Daytona Coupes are gorgeous vehicles.. this concept is actually pretty close to it.. I like it.

Here's some shots of the coupe:

I can see what that guy is saying about it looking a bit like a AM Vanguish at the front. Thought I recognised it a bit (and it's kinda growing on me, though not in chrome something about the mis-match between the wheels and body makes it look werid).

How about this tho?

I love TVRs look cool are powerful but are balanced honed sports cars not engines on wheels.

Thank you for saying what i was thinking.

Posted by DjShlian on Jan-24-2005 06:21:

is there evidence that there is an actual engine in there? me and my mechanic friends are saying that there is a B170A in there, Type-R version

Pretty sweet! I like the styling of the new 2005 Mustangs (i'm like 1 of 5 TAs on here that actually do )

It reminds me of 2 things:

1) it reminds me of the car that Michael Jackson turns into in his Moonwalker video
&
2) it reminds me of those old 1968-1969 Hot Wheels racers (I don't know if anyone knows what i'm talking about but they were Hot wheels sized cars with sleek styling and on the bottom they had personalized names like Twin Mill and Red Baron)

Posted by bas on Jan-24-2005 16:45:

i hafta agree it looks way too much like an aston martin...i thought they would have kept a little closer to the new mustang's style. prolly look better that way and less like a rolling penis

Hmmm maybe you should do your history lesons?

quote:
April 1954 - Shelby goes to Europe and drives an Aston-Martin DBR3 for Wyer, finishing a very respectable second against C-Type Jags at Aintree, leading to a ride with the Aston-Martin team at Le Mans in June 1954, co-driving with Paul Frre. Shelby continues to race Aston-Martins in Europe for 1954, returning to the States in August.

then....

quote:
Early 1957 - Carroll Shelby Sports Cars opens at 5611 Yales in Dallas, Texas, with backing from Dick Hall, an oilman from Abilene, Texas, and brother of Jim Hall who built the Chaparral cars.

LINK

Lets look at the type of cars he drove.....

one on the left (DB3), but a racing model (DBR3) (also note the look of the one on the right closer or further away from that concept and current DBs?)..... thouse are (1951-1953)

And he drove this too.... (1954)

lets see what "his" cars look like..... way to change a front grille
